[ In the meadow, a basket in hand, Crescendo wades through the long flowers and grass, plucking various plants and carefully placing them within his basket. Some seem to be edible, while others are not. But for each new plant he finds, in it goes, including various flowers. He studies one particular plant in front of him for a moment.]

PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT

[ Speed and strength. Those are the skills he believes he has acquired ever since he experienced the unceremonious transformation into a cat. As difficult as that is to believe, it has become his reality.

The truth is... he is grateful for it. Feeling powerless in a strange world where people seem to possess skills even beyond the ones granted here left a terrible taste in his mouth. But like this, he can contribute on a more level playing field. At least to a small extent.

But in order to properly utilize the tools he has been given, he has to practice and become comfortable using them first.

Which is why, at the very edge of the forest, he has decided to train. Testing the limits of his speed, he jumps up once having reached the nearest tree, and uses it to spring off in the opposite direction, at the same time he activates Now Kiss.

The result sends him flying. His goal is to learn how to land properly.

1.) That doesn't mean he's successful. In fact, as he flies through the air anyone who spots the entire show might wish to catch him. Or perhaps they are an unfortunate victim as he crashes into them himself.

2.) After each attempt he tries something a little new. Anyone could spot him attempting a new trick or move. And are welcome to approach. His results are varied.

3.) At some point, he has decided to test his climbing abilities. Cats are very good at climbing, aren't they? And his nails have become rather claw-like. It doesn't hurt to try.

. . . Except that once he climbs up a fair amount, he doesn't know how to get back down. Clinging to the tree he holds on tightly. W-What is he supposed to do now? It probably isn't safe to call for help at the edge of the forest. And it is too embarrassing to 'phone' for help. Plus he might get lectured!

[ fantasia has set up a kiddy pool near the moat that he, tempo, and minuet have spent the past two nights digging on and off. they're kind of a tangle of limbs, because two grown men aren't exactly meant to be sitting in such a cramped space, but they're making it work. ]

[ he's got his sketchbook in hand, which, at this point, is half water-logged, but fantasia doesn't seem to care as he makes a more detailed sketch of the barn, the moat, and the eventual garden he plans to build in the back. ]

BUT WEIRDLY...in the normal clearing the deer usually gather, there is no sign of them. Instead, he'll find a bunch of shyders, who ignore him so long as he doesn't disturb them. They seem to be mending the area--wilted, dying trees, sliced shrubbery, broken branches. . .it seems like a fight broke out here recently.

However, if he's quick, he may spot some familiar deer tracks before the spiders cover them up.]
