[ he took the barrier down and went back to lying down and possibly might just be uhhh inconveniently placed such that it is easy for crescendo to trip anyway due to his unnecessarily long legs

he is also still half asleep enough that he does not catch crescendo on time, except with his face and also the rest of him ]
