[ Hmm. He is trying to think. ]
They are perhaps... a smaller, more sophisticated version of that? They are full of something called bullets. If you aim and shoot, the bullet travels so quickly that it can tear through a person's body or even walls. They are incredibly deadly.
Some individuals use them for hunting, or because they claim they need protection. While others have much more sinister reasons for possessing one.

I can imagine that there are good uses for it, but my first encounter with it doesn't exactly make me want to seek it out.
