[well there's still new landmarks to explore, new teammates (and new ragged individuals) to meet. occasional gunfire's been resounding through the woods sometimes, scaring birds up into the air and sending wandering pygmidillos in the meadow askitter.

Exactly. It was real small and obviously not meant for an adult, let alone two adults, but I'm not easily embarrassed. [ LOL. ] But we're almost finished and I'm incredibly excited about filling it up not only with the water, but also these gatordawgs... so let's get going!

[your shamelessness is inspiring. HEADS TO THE FOREST!]

Before we grab any gatordawgs you'll need to make sure you have the right kind of food and environment for them. Like taking care of a pet, you know? It might be pretty self-sustainable if you can add some fish to the moat too.

We could observe them for a few hours. But, yes, I don't mind adding fish and even some plant life to the moat. It would make it all the more beautiful in the end besides. [ kaveh is incredibly excited about this, okay! ] Do you know where the shyders are?

[it's good that he's exciting! it means he'll take good care of all of his beautiful animals that live in his beautiful yard]

I know the shyders are in the forest. I'll be able to find them from there. I've seen a few just by walking around, so they shouldn't be hard to locate. They're friendly enough if you offer them some plants to eat.

There's plenty in the forest to pick up. Let's see...

[doop de doop, once they hit the forest's edge he finds a shady spot under the trees and picks some of the fresher-looking plants as offerings for the shyders. the lil guys are probably already scuttling around nearby looking for food]

Look how cute. [ he'll join him in grabbing some just in case they need some more. ]

Sooooooo cute. They're friendlier than I expected.

[he doesn't quite sit down on the forest floor, but he crouches there and starts to offer some plants to the nearest shyder that's brave enough to get close]

[ he'll move a few feet to the right and do the same, setting the plants down and crouching to see if any of them dare to come closer. he'll keep quiet to avoid scaring them. ]

[most of them stay back juuuust out of sight, but a pair of shyders seem receptive to his cooing and praises of how smart and cute they are; they scoot closer and closer until they're yanking the plants out of their hands and then scuttling back to eat them.

it takes. a bit of time. it isn't an immediate process! but it's still only twenty minutes at most before the shyders are comfortably eating plants right out of their hands.]

[ kaveh doesn't seem to be bothered by the amount of time it takes. he's sat in a field and painted landscapes for longer. he smiles when more of them start doing the same. he really wants to move his hand to attempt to pet one of them, but he looks over to see if that's something he should/could do. ]

Looks like we're doing good. [ says quietly. ] They like us, I... think.

They like us. No "I think" about it. Just try not to startle them. Keep your movements slow.

[gives kaveh a nod to try petting them if he wants; they should get used to the touch and smell of humans if they're going to bring them back to Bluebell]

Hey there. [ he coos softly as he overturns his hand to let them sniff at it and climb over it if they so choose. he'll wait to pet them fully, instead gently rubbing at them with a few of his fingers. ] You guys are real cute, you know that? I... I wonder if any of you would be interested in coming back to Bluebell with me.

[points to their two brave little guys, who are both eagerly climbing all over kaveh and sniffing him for more food]

Those two seem plenty interested as long as you feed them.

[ kaveh laughs and holds out his palm with some more food in it. ] Man, you guys sure are hungry. You know... we have more back at the barn. We'd love to have you stay with us.

[they're soooo fluffy!! once they've had their fill of food they do stick around, too; petting is nice, so they're willing to accept it without any fuss]

We could try taking them back and see if they get squirmy? As long as you're gentle with them I bet they'll be fine.

Let's give it a shot. [ going to see if he can't get them onto his shoulders. ] We're going to take a short trip little guys.

Awww, you're going to behave, aren't you little guys? We love youuuu~ So be good now.

[these shyders are SO HAPPY to just go along back to the pasture with them. one climbs onto fantasia's head so it is The Tallest, and the other one perches on a shoulder]

Haha, I think we're good to go. [ he gives each of them a pat. ] Do you want to see if any of them will go back with you? Or... well, I guess you can always come visit them if you like.

[shakes his head; he is currently a weed, he barely has a place to sleep, let alone a place for a pet to sleep]

If you don't mind, it's probably easier if I just come and visit. I don't want to take more of them away from their natural environment and have them wander around town with me just because I think they're cute.

I don't mind. [ he almost forgot he's a weed. he doesn't seem like the others. ] I would just have to let the team know when you're coming over... but I doubt it would be a problem, since you're helping me to get them. I can't wait to create an environment for them.

I'm probably going to need a couple of small trees and some bushes, right? Probably these ones, right? Since they seem to enjoy snacking on them. [ going to start pointing things out. ] I'll have to come out with a shovel to uproot a few.

I won't impose too much. Since I offered to help, I want to make sure these little guys settle in okay.

[reaches over to give skritches to the one sitting on kaveh's shoulder]

Right now you can probably just take them for walks near the forest and let them climb around in the trees for exercise. Since it can be dangerous, obviously take someone with you. But the soil here should be fine for re-planting trees.
