I thought they used food and flowers and stuff to make paint.

[They can be used but there is a much longer process to making the paint, which he does not know.]

I believe so, but I don't know that they'd use the ingredients raw...

We could just shear some wool from two different colored sheep and tie it around the necks of the pieces too.

That could work. It'll take some time to make all the pieces, so we have plenty of opportunity to figure it out.
