[ Today started off like any ordinary day. At least, until the sky flashed and turned blood red.

Wherever you are, you'll find yourselves pulled into a new area. It's like a Big Top, with a single spotlight shining down, practically blinding anyone who dares even look in its vicinity. You all find yourselves rooted in your seats, unable to move, unable to escape whatever this may be.

A deathly pale young man dressed all in formal blacks forward moves as the spotlight does, hands held wide. He adjusts the snake wrapped around his shoulders and takes you all in with black, empty eyes. The smirk reveals he seems to find whatever evaluation he made as … lacking. ]

Welcome, my friends. I have a show for you all today. A test of your will and intellect, such as it is.

[ From above, a gilded box falls, dangling by a gold chain. ]

A simple magic trick, and like most, can be disarmed with a touch of intellect.

I have merely taken a few of these flocks who have lost their way.

[HELLO SHEEP WHAT A WONDERFUL DAY--oh wait haha oh no, it's not actually. At least not ALL day.

From morning to evening, all day, it will alternate between being a bit gloomy and overcast, but otherwise pleasant--to SHEETS of downpouring rain and lightnining strikes. There's no pattern to it, and just as it clears up and you think it's safe, you may be caught in it again.

But it's not just any normal rain--it's like it knows what it's doing. If you seek shelter at another flocks barn or a public building or under a tree or such, and you're stuck with another person (or people)? The lightning will strike near your path RELENTLESSLY, trapping you there. . .

Until you admit something that scares you.

Do they know this ICly? Nope!! But if they try to leave before saying as such they'll be treated to a strike. It won't kill them, but it's not exactly pleasant, or at the very least, you'll end up ruining an outfit or two. The storm will EVENTUALLY move on, so if they don't figure it out, well, they'll just have to endure some close proximity for a bit.

If you have some resistance to lightning it won't bother you, though it will start raining harder if you try to leave.

But hey on the plus side, the rain means those feathers aren't around (right now)!! Occasionally in the clouds you can see the shadow of a ram, but that's PROBABLY not related.


That aside, if you manage to miss the random storms all day, you can get along with your 'normal' day. Be mindful of the mist wolves that are still lurking about and trying to get in any damaged fenced areas!]

[HELLOOOO SHEEP, that certainly was a fairly pleasant demon ritual last night! And you know what, aside from one of the moons disappearing (,,,,,), things are going pretty swell!

Until the next morning.

Those who are out in the meadow beyond the fence, may notice that some mist wolves are actually breaking through the mist. You can now encounter wolves just, out there in the meadow. They are slightly weaker not being in their element, but can cause problems all the same.

The fence. . .also, abruptly, starts crumbling. Thankfully, due to the barrier they all created during the kidnapping fiasco, they're still all mostly protected! However, the wolves can slip into gaps from the broken fence. Maybe repair those.

But wait, there's more! One type of fruit tree in every flock suddenly shrivels up, taking that fruit away. You all may decide which one goes bye bye! (but hit up the top comment so I can keep track of it). Any fruit you've harvested for yourself or the food drive already is fine to keep, just any from that particular tree in the future is donezo now.

Finally, random scattered feathers float through the air. Should you touch any, you may experience the following:

Black Feathers - Increased anger, rage, impulsiveness; you may find yourself lashing out violently even to people you like.
Pink Feathers - Increased anxiety, paranoia, depression; even if you try to tell the truth you'll find yourself lying.
White Feathers - Increased loneliness, insecurity, jealousy; you'll find yourself blurting out the truth even if it hurts.

Wack. But hey that's pretty mild all things considered!! EVERYTHING IS FINE AND NORMAL ignore that Stormy has been missing for two days probably and occasionally Blossom flickers in and out of existence.]

[Bodies litter the pasture now, as the demons cackle through the air.

The blood that flowed from everyone converges on the paper flower, turning it a bright, disgusting red.

And then--something bursts from it. Another shadowy demonic beast, emerging with unfurled black wings. For those still alive, it looks something like a crow.

Black feathers scatter all over the pasture, and the voices of the demons are overjoyed. "She's returned! She's truly returned! Oh glorious day, our time has come--!"

The beast flies into the sky, easily bypassing the pasture's barrier, and simply....disappears. And with it, the oddities of the ritual.

All the remaining paper withers. and those living can hear a faint voice.

Well done, mortals. Finally you show your worth.

For the most ruthless, Rose, Daffodil, Weeds, Lily, Peony, you have our thanks.

The rest of you. . .what pleasant sacrifices you all made, hahahaHAHAHA!

Each winning team gets the standard memory coins, along with their trees taking on the following changes/sprouting fruit:
Daffodil - Buddha's Hand.
Lily - Cherries
Rose - Pineapple (yes i know shh). But most curiously, their tree blooms into a giant rose. Not a tree with roses, a giant rose flower. It's stem is large enough to be climbed like a tree trunk, and its thorns act as branches. The fruit hands from stray leaves/petals.
Peony - Dragonfruit

WEEDS curiously, will have a strange plant growing on the grounds near their clubhouse. Uh oh are those Avocados?? Sure are.

MINI BONUSES
MOST READY KILL - Daffodil - They receive 50lbs of meat of whatever they desire. This can be a creature from home or just like. a lot of steaks. They will also find that for the next 3 ic days, they will auto-heal from any sort of injury whether they use their powers or not.

MOST 'can you lighten up a bit' - Weeds/Rose. They receive two sets of clothing; one any design in their standard fashion (ripped/suits), but the other can be in ANY STYLE so long as there is a flower of some sort incorporated into it somewhere, no matter how small.

MOST 'aren't you tired of being nice' - Peony - they'll find their Horse ability extended by 24 hours for the next 3 ic days. (tho it does not have to last that long)

MOST Survivor's Guilt - Lily - Ananke gets a knife made of pure silver, but it can be molded into any other kind of weapon.

DAFFODIL, ROSE, AND PEONY also instinctively know they can request a barn upgrade OR a community upgrade (one or the other, and it can't be something that's a deal in progress). Let Ash know what you want by Wednesday so I can incorporate in the next mingle!


Losers - Bluebell, Clover, Thistle. Oh buddies. Any dead MUST be manually put together/fixed by others, and also will incur a Paper Curse. This can either be:
-True words will appear on their body like ink/tattoos at inconvenient times
-They will become Light as Paper for two IC days and thus easily blown away/knocked down
-or have their soul trapped in an origami paper animal and just be that for a day.
SINCE THIS GAME WENT BUCK WILD this will only effect those present.]

suddenly a darkness whips out, stretching from Clover's barn and reaching across the entire pasture, grabbing up anyone who might be in the way.

But it doesn't hurt you. No, instead you find yourselves..........dressed rather swanky. Think scarves, fedoras, gangster aesthetic.

The stars in the sky have been replaced with glittering coins and dice. Even some of the paper flowers reflect this change, the flowers now looking as if they are made from dollar bills and other currency.

And--oh yeah the Gambler Demon is perched on top of Clover's Barn what UP.]

[Well THAT was a trip. But everyone is returned home relatively safely, the mushrooms are under control, and Death's eye is closed. Maybe things can return to semi-normalcy.

Lol. Lmao.

A dark shadow suddenly sweeps across the Pasture, and you'll find yourself forcibly yanked from where you stand, lay in bed, or otherwise where you're minding your business--though, some will be missed, inevitably. Those who get grabbed though get to glimpse at a massive shadow-like demon, wolf like in appearance but with giant ram horns, glaring down at you. His voice speaks as a whisper in your minds.

You will Speak his Vengeance.

If you do not speak it, I will enact it on his Behalf.


A random sheep waddles by, and then shadows overtake it--the poor sheep begins to contort, gasping for air as it's stretched and twisted into an unnatural eldritch mass, but still Very Much Alive. It rolls off to enjoy its eternal suffering.

And just like that you're yanked into the shadows, the demon's Intent clear in your heads. It's Ritual Time.]

WHEN: Stupid Late 53/Stupid Early 54. Dawn??

[So remember how everyone wailed on the the shadowy hands that grasped death's eye? Little by little, the hands seem to have gotten smaller, bubbling, sizzling, from all the abuse, with the last act being Rook's arrow, using a special gem. The arrow ended up embedded in the hands, but still no avail.

Until. . .crack, crack. . .CRACK.

Finally, all the attacks on it have accumulated, with the arrow being the straw the break its back. The hands seem to solidify into a dark substance, then turn to coal, before crumbling away. Death's Eye shines brighter than ever, before blessedly closing, finally able to rest. All that helped, no matter where they may be will hear a distant thank you.

When did this happen?? Idk maybe just before everyone left or after they left. TIMELINES.

Anyway, there's still the mushroom, problem, but that's being worked on as rescues happen.

Eventually though, it seems like people have made their way back to the pasture after a very, very, long day/night. And some might still be a little fucked. What up!!]

OOC NOTES:
-Death is OFF as of uuuh lets say late 53 afternoon sure
-The extra overlay of mist has been pushed back thanks to thistle!
-The source of the mushrooms has been destroyed by Percie/Akrinak! There are still a few mushrooms around and they will remain so for the rest of the month if people want to play with the effects--just if you eat them, go to Daisy for an antidote you weirdos.]

WHEN: Day 53 Morning

[IT IS DAWN. WOW. SEEMS LIKE THAT RITUAL WAS OVERNIGHT AND LASTED LONGER THAN YOU THOUGHT. But as you say goodbye to your Frankies, or try to puzzle out why they are crying wolf, or you're just trying to stumble home to bed. . .well, in the words of the wise All Star, the things keep coming and they don't stop coming.

Which is to say, suddenly, whizzing through the air are seven canisters. An aerial strike?? No time to think though, as the canisters suddenly release some noxious purple gas--a certain Lily and Bluebell may recognize it as Nightmare Smoke. Unfortunately, the following six people are hit dead on, inhaling the smoke before they can realize it, and passing out:

Sonata and Jade
Melody and Lethe
Biscuit, Aides, and Yata.

As soon as they pass out, a nightmare being of their choice materializes, scooping them up, and racing off with their bodies, over the fence, and eventually disappearing into the mist. Good luck catching them, as you may get blocked by your own nightmare materializing (but not knocked out). In addition, OUTSIDE the pasture, woah, those mushrooms have multiplied, covering the meadow. You may not be able to take a step without getting spored. There also seems to be a few typical Mist Wolves very pointedly waiting at the edge of the mist in various areas, yellow eyes glowing in the distance, though they know they can't pass.


Oh right and the eye is still open. Hm.

Looks like you need to take care of a couple things before you can go after your friends.

[OOC: JUST JUMPING INTO IT:
1) Please let me know by Wednesday, 6pm EST of any and all final attempts to remove the hands from Death's eye! A thing will happen!!
2) Same goes for getting rid of the mushrooms!!
3) That said, rescues can still happen while that goes on! If there are some characters that would stay back and work on that that's a-okay. Or maybe characters do both. Idc time/space
4) FLOCKS WILL NEED AT LEAST ONE WEED TO NAVIGATE THE MIST, no exceptions! Ya can't get thru it!
5) I am open to start rescue threads for any flocks starting tomorrow evening at the earliest! I am le tired. But you have until any time before Saturday PM to coordinate so no rush, I'll be around all week (hopefully??)
6) As noted by Blossom, the teams with their Frankies (Thistle, Clover, Lily) will be able to go straight to their rescues without any detours in the mist or other encounters! They are like BLOODHOUNDS
7) any other questions ask me in chat!!!! ]
