[IT IS DAWN. WOW. SEEMS LIKE THAT RITUAL WAS OVERNIGHT AND LASTED LONGER THAN YOU THOUGHT. But as you say goodbye to your Frankies, or try to puzzle out why they are crying wolf, or you're just trying to stumble home to bed. . .well, in the words of the wise All Star, the things keep coming and they don't stop coming.

Which is to say, suddenly, whizzing through the air are seven canisters. An aerial strike?? No time to think though, as the canisters suddenly release some noxious purple gas--a certain Lily and Bluebell may recognize it as Nightmare Smoke. Unfortunately, the following six people are hit dead on, inhaling the smoke before they can realize it, and passing out:

Sonata and Jade
Melody and Lethe
Biscuit, Aides, and Yata.

As soon as they pass out, a nightmare being of their choice materializes, scooping them up, and racing off with their bodies, over the fence, and eventually disappearing into the mist. Good luck catching them, as you may get blocked by your own nightmare materializing (but not knocked out). In addition, OUTSIDE the pasture, woah, those mushrooms have multiplied, covering the meadow. You may not be able to take a step without getting spored. There also seems to be a few typical Mist Wolves very pointedly waiting at the edge of the mist in various areas, yellow eyes glowing in the distance, though they know they can't pass.


Oh right and the eye is still open. Hm.

Looks like you need to take care of a couple things before you can go after your friends.

1) Please let me know by Wednesday, 6pm EST of any and all final attempts to remove the hands from Death's eye! A thing will happen!!
2) Same goes for getting rid of the mushrooms!!
3) That said, rescues can still happen while that goes on! If there are some characters that would stay back and work on that that's a-okay. Or maybe characters do both. Idc time/space
4) FLOCKS WILL NEED AT LEAST ONE WEED TO NAVIGATE THE MIST, no exceptions! Ya can't get thru it!
5) I am open to start rescue threads for any flocks starting tomorrow evening at the earliest! I am le tired. But you have until any time before Saturday PM to coordinate so no rush, I'll be around all week (hopefully??)
6) As noted by Blossom, the teams with their Frankies (Thistle, Clover, Lily) will be able to go straight to their rescues without any detours in the mist or other encounters! They are like BLOODHOUNDS

WELL the Frankies can probably sniff out their creators but I've never tried. Baa-baa!

but there's another tart(?) in the usual, more familiar clothes—and while he has his lionhead staff and his teeth both bared, ready to make chase, the nightmare that stops him manifests in dozens of people all reaching for him: most of them are students, either in school uniforms or in biker outfits matching tart's—one can catch a giant wolf lumbering over the rest of them as well as a certain familiar hyena—but there are also various beastmen adults in ceremonial clothing. an older lion beastman with a bright-eyed child that shares features with him and a lioness even taller than the giant wolf. a couple old men—one with a feathery tail and stern gaze, and a decrepit lion with a hobbling gait.

it seems like there are a lot of people already, right? but more manifest, too—and these, you'll more likely than not recognize. all of current daffodil, and then a few wearing yellow that aren't here anymore. members of clover, but in particular sonata, spinel, and lyra. a lily that looks like lyra but with blue eyes instead of magenta. charon. lethe. demeter. aides. pegasus. rubato. melody. lupin. yata. liquorice. fifi (young). coco. daisy.

if your character has ever said a heartfelt nice thing to tart, asked help from or offered help to tart, expressed a desire to get to know him more or otherwise expressed hope in his general direction, they're here in this nightmare mob. and if you're close enough to hear what they have to say, you'll hear those nice things, those desires of friendship, those pleas/offers for help, those expressions of hope. from the students you can hear please, housewarden, our king, help us and from the ceremonial robed adults you can hear please, our captain, teach us.

Before any of you head into the mist -- we need to make an attempt to remove the claws on Death's Eye, considering the amount of danger involved and the fact the wolves may try to kill the ones they took. We've been training sunlight on them since they appeared, so perhaps they are now weakened enough for a concerted effort to work.

I talked to some of you who had abilities that might be brought to bear on them -- Bluebell with your redirection, Odin with your gravity, Daffodil with your sunlight. Anyone else who can exert force on them without directly handling them. Come to the fountain in the next half hour and we'll try.

Slightly less urgent, but also important: miss Daisy is able to extract good dreams and process them into something that will combat the nightmare gas and some of the mushrooms' effects, though the mushrooms' source will still need to be destroyed. This will not result in the loss of your dreams or your ability to make them.

If you are willing and able to contribute your dreams, or if you are able to magically or mechanically induce sleep in a number of people, please come to the cafeteria in two hours and organize yourselves so she may proceed with this. If we can get at least a small amount processed now to dose those who were taken, it's likely to be helpful.
