[shepherds of sheepgame y'all get a call from Charon at some point:]

We can agree that there's a new foe in the mists with real and active intent to endanger us all, correct? As they've done us the courtesy of a warning strike and not an all-out offensive from the start, let's meet and come up with a plan of action together. I'm sure we're all looking to our barns individually, but it's better if a direct threat never gets that far in.

If people in your flock or Weeds your flock is friendly with want to present some suggestions and solutions themselves, or just attend to stay informed, please have them attend as well.

[WHAT IT SAYS ON THE TIN, i'll put up some headers, let people know what you/your team are doing or planning under the appropriate ones so that other people can chime in with suggestions and assistance! HANDWAVE YOU GOT TOLD IF YOU WANNA BE THERE.

Charon is not going to be responding to Absolutely Everything because i am but one player but everyone feel free to jump each other. i'll sort out a summary at the end as needed.

The mushrooms and the spell on Death's Eye are truly a problem in combination. It's too easy to disable us -- or completely take us out of commission -- with both in effect.

Spinel and I have ascertained that training sunlight on the claws and hitting them with weapons that work on mist wolves weakens them, but we weren't able to remove them entirely. Someone anonymous suggested continual use of sunflowers on them as a followup to that.

What else has been tried, or is going to be tried? Blossom confirmed there was some kind of source for the mushrooms that would need to be destroyed, but I'm not sure how one tracks that down.

How are all of you for food and the like? Limbus? Honeysuckle? Sunflowers? If we have enough, it may be better to conserve it and share around than keep heading out and gathering for now.

Since the mist intersects the forest so heavily in places now, that must be deemed even more unsafe than normal -- and it's still winter, to boot.

Has your flock stored blood independent of the blood drive? Even if death can't be reversed until the eye shuts, we should still have the means to repair damages.

In case we lose access to flock powers, who has healing abilities or medical expertise independent of that? We do have our fine folk at the clinic, but if things go south at some point, we will need all hands.

You may have seen Lily attempted a rite today -- it did add on to the fence, so the power may indeed be directed there. One flock's efforts did not do much, though; we may need a full community effort. I don't know how many of you want to run rites at short notice, but this may be the time, to further reinforce our general protections, and our homes and the other structures here.

Did anyone talk to Blossom, Stormy or Red about quests for these purposes, also? Or have other ideas for these preparations?

Attacking, or counterattacking, are where we have the most difficulty, considering the high risks of mist travel. I mentioned to Zenith that since we can't reasonably take things to the enemy, or even get a look at them without risk of lycanthropy, the better method might be to entrap the pasture ground, and make sure anything that comes through the fence can't easily make headway.

Who has skilsets that are appropriate for this?

And are any of you considering entering the mists anyway?
