We can agree that there's a new foe in the mists with real and active intent to endanger us all, correct? As they've done us the courtesy of a warning strike and not an all-out offensive from the start, let's meet and come up with a plan of action together. I'm sure we're all looking to our barns individually, but it's better if a direct threat never gets that far in.

If people in your flock or Weeds your flock is friendly with want to present some suggestions and solutions themselves, or just attend to stay informed, please have them attend as well.

We should lay down some conventional weaponry, then. So many of the creatures here seem to rely heavily on magic and shutting it down.

I don't think we can create those parts through herd mentality, though. Red is, unfortunately, going to have a field day.

We can't, but getting the parts for say, a flashbang, is easier than getting one that's already made. I can get a few more and see about getting the rest for things like trip mines.

If other people want to help or have their own stock, they should ask for parts too. I'd be willing to put it together for them or show them how to do it themselves.

Maybe an odd question, but has anyone measured how long the fence is?

Does Red give scaleable quests? So anyone who wants to generate them can simply work together in a group to do so, and the parts can be obtained in a large batch?

As for the fence--not so far as I know, but it's a near-perfect circle seen from the air. It's possible to calculate if we just get the length of the field within.

Trying to figure out how to space things?

It's possible, he let me do something like that when I did all the winter prep stuff. I can talk to him about it and see what he says.

But yeah, I want to figure out how we can space what we set up out there. It also would give us an idea of just how much we'd need to get supplies-wise. Angie did say he could get an aerial view, so that's a start.

If he can easily get an idea of the dimensions, and you know the effective range of what you want to build, I can get you calculations quickly. It's not my first time laying out a defensive grid either--it's just usually set by mages.

That'd be appreciated. I've done it before, but on a much smaller, rushed scale.

After we're done here I'll go talk to Red. I think we have some of what I'd need in Thistle, so I can rig something up to test it out.

I know people are gonna go out there no matter what, so it might be worth choosing part of the fence as a place we can both come and go without worrying about setting off something, too.

That's true. Though we have no way to tell if the wolves can see us using such a spot...well, we can at least put it in an area that doesn't directly border the mist.

Mm . . . good point. Could work to our benefit too, if they are watching us that closely, but - maybe it's something to consider more when everything is set up.

All right. I think we've a lot of things to set in motion now, though, so this is certainly a more optimistic place to be in than we were earlier in the day.
