We can agree that there's a new foe in the mists with real and active intent to endanger us all, correct? As they've done us the courtesy of a warning strike and not an all-out offensive from the start, let's meet and come up with a plan of action together. I'm sure we're all looking to our barns individually, but it's better if a direct threat never gets that far in.

If people in your flock or Weeds your flock is friendly with want to present some suggestions and solutions themselves, or just attend to stay informed, please have them attend as well.

I don't know if there's much to say. We had an anonymous person come to our rite and provide us with a poem about being swallowed up by the Wolf King. There was a mention of a Paper Demon, too.

I can write down the poem for you, but I'd need to go back to the barn and get the copy I wrote of it. I don't have it memorized.

You remember writing it, don't you? Let us look at that.

Hmm? As long as you're only looking at that, sure. I can't summon a memory on my own, but I'll think of it...

[it's not pleasant, though; it can be more neutral, but they don't work to make it so. having them peer in to look at the memory is like having a black hole in his mind briefly, utterly empty and cold.]

You could be a little more polite about it...this feels gross.

How are they still able to do those things? Our sisters were lost utterly.

Well, the poem made it sound like they had some kind of deal with a demon that ended up protecting them.

There's also a possibility that they didn't survive, and their memory was just passed on to someone who is alive in the pasture through the demon. It's hard to say what sounds more plausible here.

[shakes her head impatiently]

They had desire and intent within the dream. Something cognizant remains.

Sharing a memory or a dream isn't a guarantee that they're the original owner of it.

But I wouldn't discount it. There's...Peony's little horse priest. He was out in the mist for a while, and his memory isn't very good right now so talking to him about anything is difficult. But it could be his memory, or someone like him.

If you're feeling shy, I can ask him instead. Since you're here, I had wanted to see if you could coordinate air patrols with Muffin to keep an eye on the pasture. We're currently dealing with some pests who may or may not be working with the Wolf King. If you and your sisters don't mind helping us keep an eye from the skies then it's the least I could do to help out.

We also have a price for that, but it is easily paid.
