WHO: anyone who wants to PREPARE FOR TROUBLE
WHERE: idk somewhere in the pasture that's relatively comfortable. library?
WHEN: nebulous day 51 between shenanigans

[shepherds of sheepgame y'all get a call from Charon at some point:]

We can agree that there's a new foe in the mists with real and active intent to endanger us all, correct? As they've done us the courtesy of a warning strike and not an all-out offensive from the start, let's meet and come up with a plan of action together. I'm sure we're all looking to our barns individually, but it's better if a direct threat never gets that far in.

If people in your flock or Weeds your flock is friendly with want to present some suggestions and solutions themselves, or just attend to stay informed, please have them attend as well.

[WHAT IT SAYS ON THE TIN, i'll put up some headers, let people know what you/your team are doing or planning under the appropriate ones so that other people can chime in with suggestions and assistance! HANDWAVE YOU GOT TOLD IF YOU WANNA BE THERE.

Charon is not going to be responding to Absolutely Everything because i am but one player but everyone feel free to jump each other. i'll sort out a summary at the end as needed.

ETA: SUMMARY IS here, if you wanna get involved with anything on the list please assume you overheard something about it during the meeting and hit up the other people involved!]

Roughly how much mana--or magic, do you have to cast spells? With the eye open I'd prefer to try to keep people alive as much as possible. Is it over-ambitious to ask you to set aside enough healing for everyone on the pasture...? Or at least half?

Mana's the word.

[ Angel Devil banks a lot on hoarding information on his limitations. He runs his eyes over the crowd, as if running numbers, while he considers specifically what fraction of truth to hand out for this audience. ]

I stabilized the better part of a flock heading for death, once, and that winded but did not completely exhaust me. 'Everyone' is certainly a bit much, if everyone is in the course of losing their lives, and accounting for what I would have used in such a dire situation already before we got to that point. If I'm modest with what I do before that moment... with perhaps a dozen people on the grass dying in front of me at once, I could muscle through with creative problem solving and no big growling distractions.

There are also certain restoratives in my home that can pep a magician up, if they start to flag. I could inquire Red for a some doses to make that number bigger.

As for what you shouldn't ask me for... Unlike flock healing, I can't re-attach something severed with my magic. And since I came here, beyond the bare minimum for life, I cannot meaningfully replenish lost blood.

[ ... smiles, showing fang. ]

...but I can transfer it through other means, if flock healing remains on the table.

I'm hoping that we won't end up in such dire straits if I'm honest. But it doesn't hurt to plan for different scenarios where we can. I'd say use your best judgement on what amount of mana you'd need in a pinch to help with healing, if our healing abilities are unavailable. Does that sound fair?

Hnhn. Quite. Lunge for the best, plan for the worst. I do know how to ration in a pinch; this isn't my first defensive melee.

I figured you know how to deal with a fight better than most. It's a long shot, but would you happen to have any anti-poison spells? Something that might combat against the mushrooms or a mist beast bite in a pinch. That would be good to keep on hand too.

Ha, ha. Can I cleanse mist beast bites...

Ahhhh.

Anyway, I do have a general cleansing spell that I can test on the mushrooms, at least. Just need a helpful volunteer.

Look, it doesn't hurt to ask. I don't know what kind of spells you have. There's a small chance that one of them would be able to stave it off until we get the wolfsbane to whoever needs it.

[looks around]

Uhm...someone got hit with the spores, but I don't remember who. It might've been Sonata? I don't know if Biscuit is dealing with any side effects from eating one either. Do you mind testing it on them if they're okay with it?

I hope so...It's never that easy, but it'd be nice if things here weren't difficult for once. Thanks for the help.
