day 31 - multiple prompts

[For all his big words, Pond Fiend doesn't sleep well. Eventually he slinks out of his bed and curls up in the saltwater pool without shifting back into merform.]

[Come morning, he can be found in the kitchen. He makes food without really thinking about it. However when he's finished he doesn't seem happy with what he made, so he sets it aside for whoever wants it and begins cleaning up.]

[He's outside the barn now getting a look at the new additions. He didn't have a chance to properly appreciate the shed upgrade, so he does that now. The barrels need to be moved to their new location as soon as possible for better temperature control, so he starts hauling them there one by one. On his own.]

[The eel appears to have fallen asleep against one of the apple trees out front. He's completely vulnerable. Make your moves as you will.]

but he looks like he needs the sleep, so... instead of waking him, she'll try to climb the apple tree as quietly as possible, in order to try out one of the new golden apples]

[He's coming out in the morning with hay in his hair, since he just slept on the ground in a sheep pile while he let Spinel use his bed. It feels so empty in here... He's wandering around and finding chores that need to be done here and there.

... Maybe I should just officially switch to using Fafnir with everyone instead of using it as a backup.

Day 31, late afternoon - the de-sheepnapping

1) the shepherd's staff jingles faintly and vanishes from Angel Devil's grip, his collar restored, and

2) a herd of red, incredibly well-dressed sheep unceremoniously toss Shadow Fiend back into the Rose pasture, before stampeding off again]

Day 32, morning - ice cream party (melancholy)

[no morning cube calls, but notes pushed under everyone's doors in Shadow Fiend's elegant, calligraphic, nigh-unreadably fancy cursive handwriting:

Good morning! I got some ice cream from Miss Daisy because it really seemed like everyone needed a pick-me-up. It's in the main barn area. Miss Daisy even gave me some meat ice cream for Azdaja!

If we all happen to be around at the same time, I'd like to have a meeting about the ritual. We can't undo what happened, so we should talk about what to do from now on. I talked to Tart so I have some news from Daffodil's side, too. We can also talk about anything else you guys have in mind!

Shadow Fiend

[true to her note, in the center area of the barn where the couch and cushion pile are, one of the rolly tables from the meat locker has been commandeered to hold a few pints of lavender tea ice cream and apple pie ice cream, plus a special pint with Azdaja's name on it. Azdaja's meat ice cream is made with EXTRA heavy cream, with gatordawg bacon bits mixed in, along with blueberry syrup mixed with blood.

the rolly table also holds a kettle of fresh chicory coffee and a bowl of apples. there are also apples, bowls, cups, and spoons; everything you might need for a breakfast ice cream party. Shadow Fiend herself will also be there, either setting up or partaking.]

Tart says he wants no grudges and it's water under the bridge. As long as we don't do this again, I think we're in the clear with Daffodil. Nice!

DAY 32 AFTER SETTING CHANGE

[ one (1) cat gets dumped unceremoniously on the lawn by a bunch of Rose sheep, oblivious to any of the recent or current nonsense happening around him. ]

[ sits up blearily, rubbing his eyes. he can't even see the setting change from here. ]

[whenever he gets to his room, there'll be a stack of notes shoved under his bedroom door. while they're not signed, the incredibly dense, calligraphic, nigh-unreadably fancy cursive could only belong to Shadow Fiend

From bottom to top, the notes read:
- You missed a ritual. Angel Devil and Pond Fiend fucked up and Lily and Daffodil are pissed.
- Things good with Daffodil, I think.
- Peace talks with Lily. They're willing to talk to us, so that's a good sign!
- We talked about doing a big renaming thing. Face-Making Devil's going by Fafnir and Pond Fiend's gonna be Leviathan. Everyone else isn't changing but there might be some new nicknames. Good time to change if you were thinking about it too!
- I made Angel Devil run the obstacle course and it was really funny. Remind me to tell you about it.
- Charon is missing
