Hey—by the way. ...It was always a joke, picking a name like I did, but it feels gross being a big joke when we're having such serious discussions with people. It's hard to take myself seriously. Can we all just agree to call me Fafnir from now on? That was Azdaja's idea, and it sounds a lot less... frivolous.

No better time than now to turn over a new leaf.

Yeah, why wouldn't I? Sounds cool. Much shorter. Seemed to be a compliment. Spinel probably won't hate to say it.

She always gives me grief, so I don't make decisions based on how much grief she's going to give me.

But it's an added bonus in this case.

Angie submitted that name as an option originally as well, but he was outvoted.

Ultimately it's up to you. No point picking a name if it makes you unhappy every time you hear it.

If you like Pond Fiend, then stick with Pond Fiend.

Huh, that's a good question. We've had a theme for so long, it'd be kind of a shame to break it up? But it's probably better to let everyone decide for themselves.

I'm kinda curious to see what everyone would suggest as a new name theme, though, even if we don't all pick new ones!

You could always just add more names if you didn't want to get rid of the old ones.

Are you familiar with Tiamat? The mother of dragons?

Oh! Yeah, we have Tiamat in our world.

She's, um. Kind of the evil creator of the chromatic dragons. But! People are starting to question the whole Tiamat bad, Bahamut good thing nowadays. Apparently there's a lot of cleric slapfights going on behind closed doors about it.
