[ WHEW LILY it sure has been a busy week! We have a lot of things to talk about!!

I guess, if you think about it, that is the safest route. Effects from rituals don't last forever. We could try jogging your memory though. Do you still remember wearing your armor at all?

Yeah...kind of. I don't really remember how it works; just that it does.

[opens his mouth--and then pauses. hmm.]

I don't know how it works either, except that the whole thing is Scarab. He doesn't want anyone messing with the technology, which makes sense, but it might actually be a good idea for him to give you a rundown in case he's ever somehow unable to communicate with you.

[ Scrabbles up onto Lethe's hand ]

[holds him one-handed while he sets his coffee down]

What, really? But it's Ananke. Isn't there a way to let him access it if you're offline for some reason?

[ Ananke shoots the drone a disgruntled look ]

So he can yank my body around, but I can't get at his?

I think it just means that the armor is offline if he is.

He said I can't "independently" use the suit either.

[...pokes Scarab beetle disapprovingly]

[ nips ineffectively at Lethe's finger ]

Sure, but you're really smart! I bet you could let Ananke have access if you wanted to. It's only fair since he's sharing with you.

[ not without Ananke complaining for a week straight first ]

You might have more luck than me. If he really can't do it, then that's all there is to it. But I feel like after everything you've been through together he can trust you with that much.

[ off he goes!!! to continue idle security pacing around the barn ]

I can't really picture it, but I guess I'll find out when my memory comes back. [ ... ] "Our" memory.

If it doesn't come back by tomorrow then we can try a few things. We've got enough memory coins to just test and see if those will give you any memories back.

I bet anything I get back will just be more fuzzy memories about the suit, but it won't hurt to try. I'm hoping it just wears off though. I don't know if I can take another person freaking out that we forgot each other.

It's...I dunno. It feels like I should miss something I don't remember, and I don't know how to do that.

[shakes his head]

You don't have to miss something you don't remember. You don't remember it, so those feelings can't be easily dug up, you know? The feelings are still there. Just...really deep down. It's better not to worry about it too much and focus on trying to get them back, rather than dwelling on what they were. Maybe that sounds overly practical, though...

Maybe it is, but it makes sense. Sitting around thinking about it won't fix it.

It doesn't stop you from thinking about it when you are sitting around. Which is the hard part. It's easy to get stuck in your own head.

Is that part of why you keep so busy? To keep your mind off things?

Maybe sometimes, sure. But most of the time it's...I felt like I made a lot of mistakes and wasted a lot of my time before I regressed. Going back in time gave me a chance to try again, do better. I don't want to waste the time I've been given.

[ Squints for a moment trying to remember if Lethe's ever mentioned time traveling before. Considers whether it matters given how full of endless secrets Lethe is ]

That's not a bad reason. As long as you're enjoying enough of your time too, it makes sense.

[Lethe doesn't remember what secrets he has or hasn't mentioned to anyone at this point, which means he's somehow trying to be as honest as possible so he doesn't get caught in a lie]

I am. I'm...having a lot of fun. That probably sounds weird when we're in this place. However, it's an undeniable fact that I like spending time with you guys.
