[ WHEW LILY it sure has been a busy week! We have a lot of things to talk about!!

which is to say, we probably have assorted pillows and blankets piled into our new basement living room, with breakfast happening in the kitchen and jellyfish hangin' around elsewhere. and our assorted? fish related prizes??? ]

It doesn't stop you from thinking about it when you are sitting around. Which is the hard part. It's easy to get stuck in your own head.

Is that part of why you keep so busy? To keep your mind off things?

Maybe sometimes, sure. But most of the time it's...I felt like I made a lot of mistakes and wasted a lot of my time before I regressed. Going back in time gave me a chance to try again, do better. I don't want to waste the time I've been given.

[ Squints for a moment trying to remember if Lethe's ever mentioned time traveling before. Considers whether it matters given how full of endless secrets Lethe is ]

That's not a bad reason. As long as you're enjoying enough of your time too, it makes sense.

[Lethe doesn't remember what secrets he has or hasn't mentioned to anyone at this point, which means he's somehow trying to be as honest as possible so he doesn't get caught in a lie]

I am. I'm...having a lot of fun. That probably sounds weird when we're in this place. However, it's an undeniable fact that I like spending time with you guys.

[ Softens at that, a little relieved and a lot fond ]

No, I get it. I'm really glad I get to know you and the rest of Lily too.

[sounds a little teasing, but there's genuine fondness in it too]

Wh--I can't even imagine you acting like Charon. The difference is too great. Besides, he's closer to my age than your age.

Yeah, but he's still way older than me and so much less sappy.

It'll only get worse as you get older. It's just natural that you get more sentimental. There's no cure.

[ snorts ]

I didn't realize it was so serious. What's next for me; hallmark cards and scrapbooking?

You know what? There are worse hobbies to have. Scrapbooking might not even be a bad idea if you want to highlight memorable events. Usually that's what a camera phone is for, but we don't exactly have an easy way to access our phones here.

It does work better here, but I dunno how my parents would feel getting a scrapbook about my summer in sheep hell. I guess it could be just for me.

I think you're allowed to make scrapbooks that are just for you. Though, maybe just list out the fond memories. It's easier to remember those when you have them all in front of you.
