[Continuing to speak to the ghost, while also making little shoo-ing motions with her wings to try to get everyone to step back]

[tyr and hannya ready to just MURDER THIS FUCK--

the soot creature solidifies more, taking on the form of the shadow of a grown man with a fang-lined smile--Tyr might recognize him if he were not tripping balls, but it hardly matters.

He raises a hand, and it takes the shape of a massive claw. . .but he doesn't take a swipe just yet, frozen in its position as the dragon speaks. There's no recognition of Coco's name, but it still isn't attacking. It's as if it's waiting for their next action.]

[ he swallows hard, shaking.

and then drops his metal bat to the ground, lifting up his hands, even as he glares over at mr soot-soots. ]

[She continues to back up slowly, dipping her head submissively]

Coco sent us to look for medicine so we can help our friends. She said to look to the wolves for help.

Please. Can you help us? Can you show us where the plants grow?

[he takes a deep breath and grimaces, then re-holsters his gun and does the same as Hannya, lifting his hands to show he's no longer armed]

[With no one moving to attack now, the eyes of the shadow glow briefly, looking back to the mantle.

And then, it finally lowers its own arm, before dispersing back into soot and ash, the remains of which get scattered through the wind.

Speaking of! That wind dislodges those papers. Someone better catch them.]

[ He shakes his head roughly and runs to grab them because he needs to do something with this nervous energy from the nightmare gas and APPARENTLY, he cannot punch things. ]

[Deflates while watching Hannya catch the papers]

[WHEEEEEEEEEEEEZE SHE THOUGHT THEY WERE GONNA DIE]

[he leans over on his knees for a sec to breathe.

Christ.

Then . . . then he's just gonna go finish up with the wolfsbane like absolutely nothing happened]

Are we all good here? No one about to turn into anything awful?

[He's leaving that scarf on.]

[ going to look at the papers now. ]

I didn't know what we were gonna do if that didn't work...

[plodding over to peek over Hannya's shoulder at the papers.]

[oh yeah, with the soot creature gone, no more hallucinations. For now.

BUT HEY PAPERS.

The first is a photo! A buff man in suspenders, grinning wide with fangs, surrounded by friends and family--some sheep, some wolves. The most prominent wolf's face obscured, burned off by the fire, but maybe the greenish, fluffy tail and mane might be familiar to some.

The second, seems to be a note. It may have been part of a notepad but that's gone up in flames. Everyone looking on though finds it incomprehensible--except for any weeds.
