[with this sausage fest all linked up, THEY STEP INTO THE MIST. . .

And it's about the same as some of them will remember. There's a howling, confusing wind, whispers of laughter, a deep, despairing feeling, and it would be completely disorienting. . .but hey, a Weed is there. So while that other stuff is still very much going on, they can actually, see some things through the mist. Most of it is dead, barren land, the coloring slowly draining from it. Where there is some sparse greenery, it's probably accompanied by the corpse of a deer or other animal, mauled to death by something bigger. There are also the howls and growls of shadow beasts heard all over in the distance. . .it's like SOME PEOPLE came in and ALERTED ALL THESE GUYS, THE LAST COUPLE DAYS. Weird.


Anyway, more importantly, there are tracks all over of course, most nonsensical but if they have a good eye. . .maybe they may notice two sets of smaller, less monstrous tracks. Those of a fox and those of a sheep. And it looks like they were heading in a certain direction with purpose.]

[there's a lot of things to take note of in here but let's deal with the most important first, in those sparse patches of greenery, does any of that grass look sweet? and preferably not stained with rotting animal blood.]

For everyone else, surely you'll be fine if you keep following whoever tracks those are. Surely nothing will come out to distract or ambush you--oh hey is that a shadow beast with multiple tendrils just straight up charging you. I think it is. It looks like a wolf, but seems to have a second bull-like head, and shadowy tentacles whip out at them immediately, trying to strike.]
