[the morning of day 22 begins with a light drizzle, as has been typical for the past few days. but despite the damp weather, a playlist of music also echoes across the pasture, luring you towards the center!]
[there, you will find that someone has planted a large bamboo tree, which is surrounded by wooden tables that are covered with colorful slips of paper and pens. a colorful sign, decorated with random doodles of stars, clouds, suns, and other fun shapes, contains a set of instructions:]
WELCOME TO TANABATA!
WRITE A WISH ON A PIECE OF PAPER AND TIE IT TO THE BAMBOO TREE.
HAVE FUN!

Our hands shall be three cards, each. Your deal, if you like. Every round, we draw a card. Lay it face down upon the table. And then the game of fate begins in earnest. Are you ready to experience what it entails?

Ah, one last rule.
There's a gift swapping game I've happened to see played, before. Each participant claims a wrapped box from the pile, and as each claims theirs... they decide if they might rather possess someone else's, or not. Here is my question.
...will you accept the card you were dealt, or vie for another...? Only six cards may lay upon the table, in the end... but their places are the matter of our game. What do you think?
