[there, you will find that someone has planted a large bamboo tree, which is surrounded by wooden tables that are covered with colorful slips of paper and pens. a colorful sign, decorated with random doodles of stars, clouds, suns, and other fun shapes, contains a set of instructions:]

WELCOME TO TANABATA!

WRITE A WISH ON A PIECE OF PAPER AND TIE IT TO THE BAMBOO TREE.

HAVE FUN!

[the music and the bamboo wishing tree are a great start to the festival, but other people have been hard at work to make this a day to remember, right?]

Well, actually, I fully believe you could give them that. But you could also just put that in one and make the same claim.

a familiar feeling. something a little like looking at a certain, delicate, spinning crystal. the sort of thing that, once you've seen into the depths, you can't forget underlying tenuousness of.

no wonder Muffin had been so careful about that anti-magic room. it's a grave truth, he's had the chance to see. he puts it away, somewhere, where he can reach it when it's of need. ]}

Indeed. ...The fulgurite is, of course, a stone of change. Frozen in its branches is a paradox; the elemental shape of action, motion, energy... brought yet to a stillness. An ephemera that you can pocket.

Even as a stone, however, it defies stagnation, and promotes flow. There are pores to it, and most samples you can blow straight through, like a woodwind! ...Stonewind. This piece, it might a bit tricky, since it's small... It's best not to draw too harshly. Like you said. A spark. Not a shock.

It is a stone that knows how to embody the strengths, of both its natures. Dependability, and spontaneity.

...as for this stone's ultimate fate, I shall hope for... only good things for it. But if you should lose, I wouldn't mind to cast the spell again.

Aha, ha~... and here I am, happening to be short of them of late. _{[ he reaches out and takes it, delicately-- though he can't help his long, pointed nails disturbing it a little when he first grasps it. ]} How very fortuitous, indeed.

Sticking out's not so bad. It's distinguished in detail. ...One could augur with this, too, if they wanted.

[whistles and chirps, distinguished!! it would be easy for someone to treat the feather cheaply— it's normal to molt them and muffin can grow more — so it warms him even more to see it protected like something precious]
