...Wow, this is actual octopus? I thought for sure there'd be cheese inside.

I wouldn't have even bothered if I couldn't get the proper ingredients. Takoyaki is a favorite in my household, so it needs to be done correctly.

Is it acceptable?

Oh. You make it at home? That's pretty impressive. Was it hard to get similar ingredients out here, or did you know what to look for?

It's delicious! Sliced up, rolled, and friend just perfect. And the sauce is very good as well.

I work at a restaurant on campus, so I have some experience with cooking.

These were requested as a festival item, so I had some assistance with the ingredients.

So this was a real team effort...

It's honestly not that difficult to achieve that sort of thing when food is involved.

I'm saying it would be nice to extend that to others. If they're needy.

What's better? Giving someone a meal because they're hungry, or giving someone a meal because they're literally starving? Crawling on the ground. Can barely move. Wasting away level.

And if you're going to say "neither," then what's the point of all of this festival? You can give food if others don't need it?

If you need food, can't you ask your snake?

I was asked to make this for the festival, and it happens to be my brother's favorite. That's all there is to it.

If you had come to me for food at any other time I would have easily been willing to trade for favors.

Don't presume to know how the Snake and I interact.

What sort of favors?

Collecting things for me. Delivering things. Performing small tasks. Nothing too difficult or silly. I'm not the fox. I would say you could owe me, but things being as they are there's no guarantee that favor would ever be returned.

I'll take direct trades if you have an item I can't easily get hold of myself.

I have a policy against "going into business for myself," but, the best solution would be if I could teach something.

Otherwise if you're just going to have me pick cattails, there's teams that offer me exchanges for that already.

If you already have your own sources then why complain to me?

Because they're incredibly unfair lopsided sources. Trades that are made to give me busywork so I can't enjoy my freedom.

It's a clever system. Why think of ways to stop the weed instead of just making her grind cattails into flour all day for a few bites of fish?

... Or there's no system of currency here so we have to work on a barter system and physical labor is a decent option when actual items can't be provided.

Make excuses if you must. I know what I've experienced.

The only one who's completely fair is Red, and for him he has my appreciation.

Does the snake not provide quests for you if you ask?
