I'm not sure but even if it does, that's only fair! I'd give my life to return everything to the way it was before this whole mess, okay??

I would like you to imagine your father’s reaction. Your brother’s. Stormy’s.

I could leave a note?

Well!! I'll think of something. This would all be pointless if everyone went crazy again!

If we managed to restore your father, how much help would your family be against her all together, do you think? He killed her once.

But, I would think so. The harder part would be helping the Wolf King.

Between that and what Clover’s been charged with, we can certainly try.
Do you know what happened to him, or were you at too far a remove from the situation at the time?

I only heard second hand, yeah, but it sounds as if he may have merged with a nightmare, of sorts. He was grieving so hard it let it consume him. . .
We'd been studying how dreams could be manifested and used to help people in the real world, so it stands to reason that a nightmare could be used for harm, too.

Are wolves just…naturally weaker to nightmares? We saw memories of one getting sick and then cured by dreams…they were the ones fighting them off in your dream factories, though.

We're STRONGER against nightmares, that's why wolves were typically tasked with harvesting them, so sheep-kind wouldn't get too overwhelmed and handled the normal dreams.
But the downside is, if a nightmare does manage to overwhelm a wolf it can be. . .very, very bad. Think of like the corrupted wolves in the mist, and multiply that times ten. Those guys are working off pure instinct and hunger, but someone consumed by a nightmare could become the nightmare itself, not understanding what's real and what's a dream anymore.
And, after a while, you may not be able to wake them up.

I do know, is when he first fell, he wasn't nearly as massive and powerful as he is now.

Will you help us when we try?
