Are wolves just…naturally weaker to nightmares? We saw memories of one getting sick and then cured by dreams…they were the ones fighting them off in your dream factories, though.

Well the research is still out but--so far, I've found it's the opposite!

We're STRONGER against nightmares, that's why wolves were typically tasked with harvesting them, so sheep-kind wouldn't get too overwhelmed and handled the normal dreams.

But the downside is, if a nightmare does manage to overwhelm a wolf it can be. . .very, very bad. Think of like the corrupted wolves in the mist, and multiply that times ten. Those guys are working off pure instinct and hunger, but someone consumed by a nightmare could become the nightmare itself, not understanding what's real and what's a dream anymore.

And, after a while, you may not be able to wake them up.

How far past that time threshold is your father, do you think? Did freezing time keep him from going past the point of no return?

That factor. . .is unknown.

I do know, is when he first fell, he wasn't nearly as massive and powerful as he is now.
