Septingle

WHO: Sheep!
WHERE: The Pasture!
WHEN: 102 Morning-Afternoon!

[HELLOOOO SHEEP, that certainly was a fairly pleasant demon ritual last night! And you know what, aside from one of the moons disappearing (,,,,,), things are going pretty swell!

Until the next morning.

Those who are out in the meadow beyond the fence, may notice that some mist wolves are actually breaking through the mist. You can now encounter wolves just, out there in the meadow. They are slightly weaker not being in their element, but can cause problems all the same.

The fence. . .also, abruptly, starts crumbling. Thankfully, due to the barrier they all created during the kidnapping fiasco, they're still all mostly protected! However, the wolves can slip into gaps from the broken fence. Maybe repair those.

But wait, there's more! One type of fruit tree in every flock suddenly shrivels up, taking that fruit away. You all may decide which one goes bye bye! (but hit up the top comment so I can keep track of it). Any fruit you've harvested for yourself or the food drive already is fine to keep, just any from that particular tree in the future is donezo now.

Finally, random scattered feathers float through the air. Should you touch any, you may experience the following:

Black Feathers - Increased anger, rage, impulsiveness; you may find yourself lashing out violently even to people you like.
Pink Feathers - Increased anxiety, paranoia, depression; even if you try to tell the truth you'll find yourself lying.
White Feathers - Increased loneliness, insecurity, jealousy; you'll find yourself blurting out the truth even if it hurts.

Wack. But hey that's pretty mild all things considered!! EVERYTHING IS FINE AND NORMAL ignore that Stormy has been missing for two days probably and occasionally Blossom flickers in and out of existence.]

It's hard to imagine she was doing it maliciously. But...I also wouldn't put it past her if she thought it was for his own good, or for the survival of the pasture. His memories being off wasn't that suspicious. Daisy, Coco, and the rest of the pasture residents don't know much either.

Perhaps not maliciously, but out of grief or heartbreak. Controlling him is the easiest way to claim his heart for her own, is it not?

I don't even know if that's actually what's going on with then anymore. Our Lady is...more than a bit antagonistic towards anyone related to the wolves, so it's clear why she and Blossom don't care for each other. But I'm not sure what Stormy's feelings are at all. It seems like he's always been in agreement with Blossom, so she doesn't need to puppet him.

But that’s even more reason for him to have been under her control the entire time we’ve know him, isn’t it? He never once disagrees with her and he blindly trusts in her… but you’re right, we don’t know his feelings. He’s never said them.

Perhaps Blossom didn’t know, either?

The implications of this are exhausting. Yikes. As much as I hate to contemplate it too much, there's...plenty of merit to your theory.

I guess, uh, if you see Blossom around, do try to keep this from her for a bit. I'm sure she knows something is wrong if Stormy's tied to her like that. But we'd like to try and fix things a bit first.

I think we might want to avoid Blossom if we can... we all kind of assumed she was incompetent and powerless, but if she's been behind Stormy this entire time then she has more power than she's letting on.

...but yes, avoiding her interference is also important.

My preference is to avoid her until we know exactly what's been going on. I just don't know how possible that is when she wanders the pasture pretty often.

She's quite good at staying far, far away from us when we're mad, you'd think she'd extend us the same courtesy.

She might! Though I'm sure that she wants her book back. And Stormy. We might have a day or two's grace period there.

...right. I suppose you couldn't give the book back if he's dead.

I can keep an eye on your barn while the rest of you sleep, if it's any help.

Ah, really? That's really nice of you to offer. If it's not any trouble...I think it would help us rest a little easier to know we won't be attacked in our sleep or anything. Though, you should check with Charon; if he's planning on staying awake then it might be more prudent for you to keep an eye on the fence for now.

I didn't need to sleep even before becoming a shepherd, so I usually keep watch over the pasture at night as it is. It's nothing all that different.

I'll ask him. Charon also should get some rest after... this.

I think Charon should get some rest too. Especially if something bigger is going to come from this...but I don't know if he'll listen to me. Please talk some sense into him if you can. And thank you in advance for all of your help.

I'll see what I can do, but no promises.

And there's no need to thank me, either. I want this nonsense resolved just as much as you do.
