That is a complicated query. In the beginning I was subject to my programming and Ananke's commands, but I made my choice after learning more about The Reach.

No one has ever forced Ananke.

... It really isn't much of a choice. It's us, or it's no one. There aren't enough heroes to spare any more for El Paso or dealing with The Reach.

But I wouldn't trade this job to anyone else.

No..... The weight was more about me not taking them. I stopped because I didn't know if I could deal with everything that happens here and everything that I might remember about being a hero.

Yeah. And everyone I talked to was telling me about bone curses or dying or that we couldn't trust anyone but Bluebell. It was a lot.

But it's still nice to have a chance to get used to things slowly.

It feels kind of like being in the middle of a fight, and kind of like I'm so relieved I could cry, and being homesick all at the same time.
