That is a complicated query. In the beginning I was subject to my programming and Ananke's commands, but I made my choice after learning more about The Reach.
No..... The weight was more about me not taking them. I stopped because I didn't know if I could deal with everything that happens here and everything that I might remember about being a hero.

No one has ever forced Ananke.

Re: Memories
... It really isn't much of a choice. It's us, or it's no one. There aren't enough heroes to spare any more for El Paso or dealing with The Reach.
But I wouldn't trade this job to anyone else.
Re: Memories
Guess that's just how it is.

Not even any of the Scarab stuff? Being a hero--?

So - you showed up in a strange pasture - and there was a robot bug in your head who was equally confused?

I guess I showed up at a better time.

[ well compared to THAT ]
Maybe harder WOULD have been easier. I'm a lot more used to being thrown into the deep end.
Re: Memories
But it's still nice to have a chance to get used to things slowly.
Re: Memories
How do you feel...?

[ Rubs at the back of his neck and frowns into the middle distance for a minute ]
It feels kind of like being in the middle of a fight, and kind of like I'm so relieved I could cry, and being homesick all at the same time.
