[ Ananke's been fidgeting nervously since the deluge of memories ended—crossing his arms, rubbing at the back of his neck, fidgeting with his hair. The nervous energy abruptly vanishes. Scarab straightens to attention, standing perfectly and tensely still. ]

No offense has been taken. It is a fact that I was originally sent to Earth to become a problem.

I do. Her magic was intended to summon heroes to save this plane. Our Earth has a multitude of heroes: many more experienced than Ananke, and many who would pose a significant challenge to me. If we were chosen over them, then the deciding factors were most likely demeanor and strength of will.

he won't linger as much as he might with ananke, in case scarab is less comfortable with it, but he does get a solid hug first ]

he is going to have to spend the next week processing Hug Outcome to decide how he feels about it, but in this moment it does seem like he's marginally less tense when Cepheus lets go. A little less detached ]
