Re: RUCKUS TEAM
WELL, THAT JUST KINDA. EVAPORATES ANY ELDRITCH HORRORS BELOW THEM. And also helps propel them upward! Quickly! At an alarming rate!
the faint 'light' seems to be just about to fade, and the source isn't entirely clear--what is clear is the reflection of something above them, a barrier, possibly glass, or ice, who knows. But it's thick and unless they break it before impact, they may just be breaking their bodies instead.
Curiously, for all the wolves still coming at them from ABOVE, they stop ever so briefly, hacking, as if something is caught in their throats. . .before spewing out a light that mimics that of Edgelord's weapon. Any wolf in a five mile radius is also distracted doing so. If anyone is near the mist greenhouse pay no mind to the mist wolf suddenly shooting a light laser out of its mouth and looking really confused before passing out.
BUT YEA ANYWAY, ABOUT THAT BARRIER. . .?]
Re: RUCKUS TEAM
Instead he swaps back to his scythe and turns to swing it against the barrier with all the force he can muster as they rise towards it.]
Re: RUCKUS TEAM
OK WELL
He doesn't know for sure if the scythe is sufficient force, and he is not here to be trapped in The Wolf King's Hole forever. Absolutely not!!
With enormously less fanfare than Edgelord, he's using his own arm cannon on the barrier ahead of them. There's a lot less fire but a lot more feathers and it mostly just seems to open a blackhole rather than fire a beam.
Whatever it's really small he probably won't die. ]
Re: RUCKUS TEAM
WELL BETWEEN SCYTHE AND ELDRITCH FEATHER DEATH STAR, the barrier shatters just before impact, glass-like crystals raining down all around them. They fly through and...don't stop. They're still being propelled up and up, and it not only feels like they just crashed through a window, but as if there are wet, inky hands grasping at them as they go.
They ARE above ground now, still flying, up and up and--out of the mist??
Whether it's day or night, they see a star filled sky and. . .two eyes peering at them. They don't do anything, but stare. And stare. And. . .
Shift. They look at something else.
Far of in the distance, is a massive shadow of a wolf. Easily bigger than a building, far larger than any mountain. It'd have to be to tower outside of the mist like this. It is a glimpse of the Wolf King, and he he glares directly at them both.
just before gravity kicks in, and despite their wings, they're pulled back into the mist.
what up.]
Re: RUCKUS TEAM
[Above the mist... He supposes that it makes sense that the mist doesn't go up forever, but that's still unexpected. Not as unexpected as Eyes staring or the Wolf King, though.
Edgelord grins and glares back at the the towering wolf. Until they fall, at which point he lets out a surprised and undignified yelp.]
Wha—!
Re: RUCKUS TEAM
A literal barrier preventing them from breaking through the mist makes sense. The giant wolf bitch makes sense. Even the two eyes in the sky make sense, to round out how fucked it all is.
Eyes fixed on the-- holy beast? ]
You--!
[ ... But then they're falling ]
Re: RUCKUS TEAM
Or rather, it feels like something pulled them back down. What?? A question for another day.
Weirdly though--now? If they do try to fly up again, the mist seemingly does go up forever. Weird. They can't get through this time.
Well no matter. They're back in the 'normal' mist, on solid ground, with more wolves coming. Well, some. Most are still SPITTING UP LASERS. Thanks for that.]
Re: RUCKUS TEAM
[Edgelord assesses the situation as he gets his footing.]
Well, that was fun. Dunno about you, but I'd say the mist wolves're good n' distracted now. ...The big wolf and whatever those eyes were too.
[Gotta mop up these wolves, though. Edgelord has gotten used to being maneuverable, so he pulls Minuet along as he hops, leaps and spins with his scythe to fight them off.]
Re: RUCKUS TEAM
[ Are mist wolves just extensions of the Wolf King's mouth. Horrible.
He re-chambers six bullets so he can keep shooting. Yes, one-handed while being dragged around. Good at gun. ]
I've got stuff I wanna say to those moons! I'm pretty sure that's a holy beast.
Re: RUCKUS TEAM
Have another wave coming at them, but at least you aren't in a knock off FMA horror void this time! Between the two of them, they're fairly easy to keep at bay.
But there is a booming voice in the distance. ]
find them find them FIND THEM FIND THEM FIND THEM
Re: RUCKUS TEAM
[Edgelord kicks a wolf in the face while Minuet reloads. and immediately fails his next lore check]
—The hell's a holy beast?
[Sorry. He turns at the booming voice, though]
...Hm. Maybe we can talk about that one later.
Re: RUCKUS TEAM
How do you not--
[ God. Whatever. ]
Nevermind.
[ To the crowd of wolves milling to murder them, at large: ]
Hey, wolf jerks! What does he want us for so bad, anyway?
Re: RUCKUS TEAM
[there do drive them off though--mostly. And it's impossible to tell where the voice is coming from. It's like it's all over. Looking for them specifically.
And then.
A fawn appears.]
Hello! You should probably get back to the meadow.
Re: RUCKUS TEAM
Oh, hey! Who're you? Came all the way out here to warn us of that?
...I am gettin' a little tired, but I wouldn't want anyone else out here to get any of the fun meant for us.
Re: RUCKUS TEAM
[ Just like bodily drags Edgelord over sry ]
We're trying to cover someone. How long do you think they'll be distracted for?
Re: RUCKUS TEAM
Saying they're preoccupied is an understatement, but they are looking for you. Not just them though, the others.
The wolves not engulfed by the Mist.
Re: RUCKUS TEAM
...Hmm. The big boss wolves could be a bit of a problem... They actually seem pretty strong. Plus they got that control power.
Re: RUCKUS TEAM
Are they really this pissed about some noise?
Re: RUCKUS TEAM
But they sense it could be an opportunity to strike.
Re: RUCKUS TEAM
[Just because he wants all the fun fighting and not because he's concerned about the well-being of the other teams. For the record.
glances at Minuet]
Whaddaya you wanna do?
Re: RUCKUS TEAM
I don't wanna fight them directly. If we've done our job as much as we can, we should go. Only other option is to lead 'em on a goose chase.
[ To John: ]
A demon said something about the wolves having a bounty on me. Have you heard anything about that?
Re: RUCKUS TEAM
Since you are the Shepherd of the Flock that freed him. . .yes.
They're very interested in you.

JUST. LOOKS AT HIM. ]
Re: RUCKUS TEAM
I wanted to talk to him about that -- to offer our help. We don't want them getting their teeth in any of you. We'll do whatever you need us to.
But I need to know: is it all of Bluebell, or only me?
