[ That was not fun.

- After crying himself to bits, he's kidnapped both Rubato Bluebell and Poison Apple Beet to sleep in his room. Expect to see them around, though not for Belle, Belle can't see shit right now.

- Probably sitting outside after being cleaned up some, holding any of the Rose sheep singing to them, or sleeping against his tree. He still can't see and won't be able to until later the next day after the ritual. His blot may have gone down a little, shown on the gem on his pen, but is still pretty strong.

- Belle Melusine's not good very bad day(s) can only improve from here! Catch him around! He's not going to be moving too far when blind. ]

[ He'll probably be helped in by Rubato, please stand by for confirmation on that, but also- his eyes are clearly without any light in them, face very red and eyes red-rimmed from crying as he holds the wall and moves in. ]

Honestly also looks relieved when he sees Apple, though for him, since he could see Apple wasn't there amongst the post-ritual carnage, it seems to be more like the relief at suddenly, unexpectedly being able to lean somewhere when he'd been walking on a tightrope. Probably an expression Apple's never seen from him before.]

Monsieur Pommette--no.. Apple-kun, non? I'm glad to see you well and whole.

Mm, rather, they sent a ritual...

Though having bore it, there was a return at the end for our efforts, and the pasture is now shielded with a full barrier. Or it was the doing of someone who interrupted the end of the ritual--that may need some verification later--but we are not under active attack.

[ Belle's not looking directly at Apple, but he does turn his head in his approximate direction. ]

Rubato needs a towel. There should be one by my dresser- will you fetch it for him, Apple? I've been blinded and don't want to trip over myself, and we've both probably used too much magic.


[ Spoken calmly but, he's clearly just gone into traumatized shock of sorts. ]

In the clinic. I had no idea there was a ritual going on until people started coming in without their eyeballs.

If you feed her the tune slower, she might be able to copy you. We've trained ours to be quite good at recitation.

[ He stops singing and raises his head, listening for who spoke. ]

... What inspired you all to do that?

Stubbornness?

[ the sound is coming from... high, but not very. A lilting, sing-song voice that could be a countertenor. ]

Blossom wants us to "wake them up." In my... experience... the mind engaged is the mind that thrives. If ordering them around is for their own good, why not, right? You can get them to do a lot of things with coaxing and oversight.

...so, when Stormy proposed a quest to our former shepherd to put on a play... calling on them for bit roles took no stretch of the imagination.

[ He's seated anyway so everything is high for him right now- but he pets the back of the sheep he's holding, whispering "Did you, now? You should perform for me too." Before letting them go. ]


... how intriguing. Here I was hoping to plan a performance, and who knew in twelve days I'd bear witness to things so horrifying and now my sight's been taken.

Angel Devil's voice stays every bit as playful and emotive, but his face and body language go completely dull and still. ]

As good as over and done with. We WERE given all our pieces back, more or less... and... well, if I, say, missed a spot, it's... fixable. Loathe as I would be to have borne it.

...It does make it clear that I have some work ahead of me to be better prepared for the worse case scenario. Ah, to live, is to learn~.

[Since Apple was there, he'll have taken the opportunity to leave Belle in his care for a few hours to go back to Bluebell and get cleaned up and changed--and check on all his flockmates. And as apology for having done that he'll collect some cozy clothes for Belle and Apple to borrow before he returns to Rose.

[ Belle will have changed into something more comfortable with Epel's help, just some nice pajamas in red and black for comfortable sleeping, and he's been washed and has his hair braided. But he's had little that would fit their Apple- and by the time Rubato returns, Belle is just moving around outside by the entrance, since he was too anxious to fall asleep, memorizing the steps he's taken. He doesn't know how long he'll be blind after all. ]

[Taking care to actually brush the grass as he walks when he approaches, just this once so as not to startle him.]

[ He hears it, and as soon as Rubato speaks, he realizes why he heard it- that relieves him and he turns, reaching his hand out to try and touch him so he can pull him into a tight hug. For now, not saying anything. ]

I thought it would be better for us to wait outside.
