[Holds up a pot.]

I brought soup in case none of you were able to do any cooking... It's full of meat and vegetables that are tender which should provide easy digestion. I also find it quite flavorful but nothing so spicy that it might offend more delicate tastes.

[SOUP]

Whoa. . . thanks. You didn't have to go through all of that trouble just for us.

[SOUP!]

On the contrary doing this is the very least I could do.

[A beat passes.]

I was told that Thistle didn’t play the “game”. Is that true?

[ah. . . Lupin pauses, before he gives a slow nod, expression blank]

. . . yes. It's true.

[He nods.]

I think it was very brave and commendable, what you chose to do.

I really only know Tyr in Thistle but... I had thought the least I could do was make sure you were all alright and had something to eat. And to express my appreciation for what you did. I'm sure it wasn't easy by any stretch but it was... admirable, without question.

[sets his jaw tightly]

We didn't. . . do it be to be brave or commendable, or to even spare anyone else. Thistle has a history of protecting ourselves above others when push comes to shove.

[he feels weird, being commended and praised for the choice that Thistle made, when it was only made out of anger and spite. he is bad at accepting compliments!1]

Those who do brave and commendable acts aren't usually doing them to be told as much. That is, at the heart of it, what makes them commendable.

[He sets the pot of soup down.]

Before things began I told Tart we should not play or give any names. That was not a decision he agreed with so... we played. Of course, seeing what happened to all of you I think I would have struggled to know that I put members like Biscuit and Muffin through such a thing.

I still think it was the right thing but... Well, you all did good. I came here not just with soup but to tell you as much.
