RITUAL 16 - GIVETHANKINGS RITUAL END
WHO: Sheep
WHERE: Pasture
WHEN: Morning 44
[The festivities (???) continue through sunrise, with the buffet refreshing foods to keep them fresh. By morning, the table also includes an array of standard breakfast grabs, like various eggs, bacon, pastries, and porridge.
But soon the hedgehog sheep pokemon demon thing reappears, waking up any sleeping sheep with a gentle ringing bell. Also, if you want more food, this is your last chance to grab a plate, as it starts to magically disintegrate--any on your plates will stay there though.]
I see now! You all really are a community of thanks and gratitude. I have misjudged you all! In that case, I'll continue lending my power. Do your best little sheep, and thank you!!
[Every team receives memory coins and one 25lb bag of rice per team. (variety your choice)
Daffodil and Clover will notice when they return to their dorms, all their food stores have been restored. eta also Peony's one sandwich.
Every person may also keep a plate of food that can be piled high with non-status effect food from the buffet, and also ONE SERVING of any/all team-status effect foods.
As a team, you may also all pick ONE status-effect dish that was your favorite overall for the whole team and keep one whole dish of that.
Thank you for playing!! The wilderness itself is still sparse--fewer animals/fish and crops growing slower, but rations have been restored!! Also Daffodil go here.]

Man, you're here being all nice and sweet, and you don't even know what I am. How'd I get lucky with a friend like you?

[He pulls back from Crescendo now, and he looks more at ease than he had before.]
I'll tell you then, but keep it a secret ok? So far only the Thistles and Crois know.
[It's funny, he feels more willing to tell this kind of thing when it doesn't matter than when it does.]
no subject
I shall cut off this finger before betraying a promise. I would never betray the trust of a friend. Your secrets shall always remain safe with me.
no subject
Alright, I'll believe you.
[And, well. Here it is:]
I'm not a normal human. I've got a god living inside of me. That's where all of my gravity powers come from. So I guess I'm like, a vessel or something?
no subject
[He blinks down at him. That is the last thing he expected to hear.]
Were you born like that? Or... did it happen sometime after birth? It does not wear down your body, does it? What god...?
no subject
[He looks down at his hand. Is it affecting his body?]
I think as long as I don't overuse the gravity powers then it should be fine. The god is just asleep in me anyway.
[He's a little cautious as he says this. Odin does trust Crescendo, but at the same time this exact conversation has happened often enough, with less than stellar results. He's still afraid of Cres being afraid of him, or seeing him as a weapon, or anything else like that.]
no subject
It is difficult to imagine that any one person could become possessed by a god, of all things. But then... had he not been speaking with Blossom the other day about demon possession? And the ones here seem fairly close to deities.]
. . . That sounds difficult.
[He has power, but at what cost? A lot, if he can't feel he can trust most others.]
Is it something you would want removed one day? If you knew of a method, would you take it?
no subject
I...dunno. I didn't think it was possible to remove it.
no subject
Perhaps simply having the option might be something we could pursue. Red, Blossom, Daisy, or Stormy might have an answer. Or a method if we were to ask them.
[He frowns a little. There is... guilt. He has been so stupidly selfish in his thoughts since his arrival.]
I have been so jealous of those who possess power. Ever since my arrival, I have compared myself, frustrated, envious, and worried that I am lesser because I have no special abilities that make me stand out. Vexed that I am useless to help those that I care about, or that I am merely a burden.
[It is shameful to admit aloud.]
. . . Until now, though, I had never looked at things from your perspective, Odin-kun. That those very strengths could cause so much loneliness or hurt, too.
[. . .]
I am sorry. I never thought about how difficult it could be to possess the gifts you do. I simply thought it looked fun, and assumed you were so much luckier than I.
no subject
But the rest of that. Oh, Crescendo. Luckily they're friends, so Odin understands the intent behind it.]
It's alright. It's human nature to want what you don't have. You want a special ability to be stronger, I want to be able to connect with people better, and so on. It's not wrong to want those things, especially when it's for a good cause like protecting people.
And besides, you're right: they are pretty fun.
[He offers out a hand to Cres. Gravity-floating time?]
no subject
no subject
And after a moment, they are both floating.]
Anywhere you wanna go?
no subject
What about the top of the lighthouse roof?
[They can be really tall up there. Like cats.]
Or you can show me your favorite place to fly!
no subject
[Off they gooo! He'll take both of them to the top of the lighthouse, and then drop the gravity control once their feet are on the roof.]
Be careful not to fall off.
no subject
[ . . . Though he has no intention of falling. When the gravity disappears he becomes a little more cautious while up there, and finds a good spot to sit down.]
no subject
[Odin will also settle down next to Cres, there's some places that are relatively safe to sit.]
It's a good view of the fields, isn't it?
