THE BABY PARTY

WHERE: The Rec Room
WHEN: Day 33, around lunchtime

[ Since it is a Daffodil rite, the Daffodils (at least, the ones that are not children who have no idea what they're doing and therefore aren't Tart, the best baby shepherd ever) have set up a little party in the rec room for all the kids and their poor beleaguered adults!

They've set up snacks and pulled out a few games as well as some pillows from the library for naptime and books — including picture books — nearby before putting the word out to others to stop by the rec room around lunchtime. And hey, if they have anything they can bring along, all the better! ]

I... [ he looks back and forth. ] I don't like being alone.

I don't like to be alone either. We can stay together!

[ ...he holds out his pinky. ]

I promise.

[ stares at his pinky and then holds his own out. ]

I promise too.

[ He links their pinkies together. now they are forever bound by this promise ]

Is this like being married?

-married?! I- I don't know... is that what married people do? Live together?

My mom and dad live together, but... [ taps his chin thoughtfully. ] it's more than just that. You have to love each other too.

[eonsadrift]

I don't know much about love... but maybe you could help me.

[noarchitact]

No? [ he looks a little confused at that, but he reaches for wanderer's hand. ] I'll help! especially if it'll help make our house feel like a home. That's real important. [ he squeezes his hand. ] Let's build our house together! And you can tell me what kinds of things you like to do.
