THE BABY PARTY

WHERE: The Rec Room
WHEN: Day 33, around lunchtime

[ Since it is a Daffodil rite, the Daffodils (at least, the ones that are not children who have no idea what they're doing and therefore aren't Tart, the best baby shepherd ever) have set up a little party in the rec room for all the kids and their poor beleaguered adults!

They've set up snacks and pulled out a few games as well as some pillows from the library for naptime and books — including picture books — nearby before putting the word out to others to stop by the rec room around lunchtime. And hey, if they have anything they can bring along, all the better! ]

Wow! It is a small house! So cute!

A small cozy house! What would you house look like? [ passes the paper and cartons to him. ]

[babyking]

[He taps his chin.]

Hmm. Let me see. Hmm.

[He pulls out some crayons and begins to color. It isn't the best drawing in the world, but he is a baby. What he is attempting to draw is a large Japanese-style manor, along with its gardens and property around it.]

This is my house!

Woah! what an amazing house. And the garden… I think I want a garden too. [ he’ll add one to his house. ] And maybe a pond too. I want a nice place to sit and play.

[babyking]

I want a pond too!

[Reaching back in for a blue he starts to scribble a little circle for his pond, tongue out as he tries to concentrate.]

I like your house! We should make the houses be neighbors.

[noarchitact]

[ he brings his drawing closer to tsukasa’s… like they’re suddenly neighbors. ] Yeah, that’s a great idea, and maybe then we can double our backyards by sharing!

What else should we add to them?

I heard of a thing called Secret Forts once. We could have that. And then [He lowers his voice] we can keep treats inside the fort.

[noarchitact]

[ he looks around the room, his eyes landing on a bunch of cardboard blocks. ] You know… I could probably build us a secret fort right now!

[babyking]

Really? ☆☆☆

[noarchitact]

Really. [ he takes his hand and brings him over to a mass of blocks. ] Do you want to help me? Or do you want to watch?

[babyking]

[Excited, he lifts one of the blocks high.]
