I'm holding lessons in Daffodil's pasture. Come if you want to, don't if you don't.

[ yeah, that's it. that's the whole thing. BUT if you do show up, the apothecary cat has set up several stations outside of her little workshop/cathouse: a makeshift firepit with a wooden drying rack, several large pots of varying sizes, and is currently in the process of chopping up a pygmidillo. and I do mean chopping. we are cleaving through bone here.

* For those who would notice, the ribbons in her hair are now Daffodil-yellow, but her collar is still black. ]

What, ya get excited about poisonin' me?

I just think it'd be interesting and useful to test just how high your tolerance is... Fifi and Lethe appear to be able to turn their resistance on and off, but I don't know anyone else who just isn't sure of their level.

Interestin', maybe, but what's useful about it? Ain't like anythin' ya learn about me's gonna apply to anyone else.

You'd be able to tell me what symptoms you're experiencing. Even if it doesn't kill you, it might still cause reactions.

It's good to have that data. Especially if I want a better understanding of the flora that grows in this place.

And I'm tellin' ya, seein' how I react to it ain't gonna help ya understand anythin'.

It would. It's not as if I'm only designing medicine for humans in this pasture.

It ain't just humans. No one else is gonna be the same as me.

What's that got to do with it?

Obviously, I want to be able to test on a wider variety of subjects. If you tell me "this won't work on me," then I just want to find out what will.

And if the answer is nothin'?

Obviously I'd keep researching until I found something.

Findin' somethin' that can kill me ain't gonna help ya in yer quest to keep people from dyin'.

Other than keepin' me from killin' 'em, I guess. Which is somethin'.

That would make things easier if I could prevent you from doing that.

But it's still information that would be useful to me.

I still don't get it... What're ya gonna use it for?

Even if you think it won't be useful in my resurrection drug, it still would be. There are plenty of medicines that are benign and toxic at different levels, and there are things that will be dangerous to one group and safe for another. I can't eat buckwheat noodles, but that doesn't mean they aren't nutritious for most humans. And just knowing is a reward in and of itself.
