Computer consoles, medical scanners, scalpels, enormous fluid-filled tanks -- an arm floats in one, a brain in another.

In the center, the largest, floats a girl -- or the remains of one. Limbs missing, organs spilling out. But her face is recognizable as the girl he'd spoken to outside. ]
