[ He's pretty cocky now with Caster's buffs on him, and the shield absorbed most of the hit from Odin tackling him into the ground. Zenith summons the wind around him again to fly, swiping one hand up to assault Odin with a spiraling cyclone from the ground. ]
You're all so eager to take responsibility! So eager to sacrifice yourselves for each other! It's so adorable, it's making me sick!
[ He fires out several windblades towards Odin in quick, rapid succession, circling around him. ]
I don't care whose fault it was- just die already!
[IT'S ODIN'S TURN (because Lupin did kind of promise that Odin could meet Zenith in the pit. . . . . . . .) so Lupin stays back, which is. . . probably for the best, since he feels so tired and achey]
[ Caster ... is surprisingly solid, especially for someone of her size. so much so that she is tackled but it doesn't get her to the ground; at most she stumbles back a step before .....
she tries to bonk him with her staff. again, at 30% of regular Servant strength which is still very very hard. ]
[does this mean he's clinging to her like a koala]
[this is so]
[undignified]
[ANYWAY, HE LETS OUT A STARTLED NOISE when she doesn't go down, but still continues to cling, to distract her from being able to cast her buffs on Zenith]
[and then the staff comes cracking down on his head]
[and down HE goes, a bit dazed??]
[dazed, but not completely out of it, thanks to his adrenaline from earlier-- he lashes out from the ground with one foot, trying to hook his foot around her ankle to trip her]
he DOES manage to get that foot unsettled though so she goes down with a very indignant yelp. still, she clings to her staff, meaning there's not much she can do with her hands but she CAN try to kick him off ]
[TRYING TO ROLL AWAY-- she gets a few good kicks in as he goes, though. MORE BRUISES]
[anyway time to pop back onto his feet and summon. . . A GIANT DRAGON to hover over her menacingly. he is breathing heavily though; keeping his Personas manifested like this is a little exhausting]
I can't. . . believe that you tried. . . to blow up our barn.
So!! Even if your barn blew up a bit -- Lyra and Sonata died!
[ Caster's getting back to her own feet if he's getting away, staff upright, getting some of her distance back -- and casting again, though this time the +atk is self-focused rather than on Zenith.
it seems like buffing and bomb-throwing isn't the only thing she can do, because she's whirring the staff to have it pointing butt-end towards the Persona. a magical laser shoots off from the end of the staff towards it, since she's assuming it's bad news to just ignore that thing. ]
[smart choice!! Lupin grunts in surprise, swiftly recalling Kohryu before the laser beam hits, knowing that the strike would have taken even more out of him had it actually landed. he sucks in a sharp breath and retaliates. . . not with a Persona, but by rushing forward, arcing his dagger at her in an overhead blow that he fully expects her to dodge]
[Instead of moving, Odin takes a strong stance- hands in pocket, feet spread apart- and roots himself to the ground, allowing the cycle to pass by him. It hurts, he already had bits of bomb on him and the wind scoops them up and whips them around, cutting him up on any exposed skin. But this is nothing, he says to himself. Just a tiny bit of pain. He's had worse, he can deal with it. As long as he's not blown away by the wind, it's fine.
Next, the windblades. These are met with kick after kick, exerting just the right amount of gravitational force to dispel each one as it comes. It's incredibly taxing and he cannot keep this up for a long time, but he's trying to wear Zenith out not fight him seriously. He did promise not to kill him, after all.]
If you wanna kill me that bad, you're gonna have to fight tooth and nail for it. I've fought tougher guys than you without even taking my hands out of my pockets and using my full strength.
[Indeed, his hands are still in his pockets.
This is a lot of taunting though, he and Zenith have fought to a draw before so he knows this guy is strong. He's just trying to rile him up to get him to make mistakes.]
[ He has fought Odin before, and that's how he can tell that he's not using his full strength.
And that just makes Zenith more frustrated with the entire thing. Fighting Lupin was exhilarating, and fighting Odin the first time had been similarly so, but to have someone only operate on defense without any offense isn't only annoying- it's insulting. ]
You are a brat! You have no idea what you're messing with.
[ He keeps up his assault, nothing fancy. Windblade after windblade fires down on Odin as they deadlock themselves in an attempt to wear the other out first. ]
[Wow Zenith sure isn't tiring of those windblades, is he? This is why you don't counter a basic attack with an Eskill.
Eventually he can't keep up and he's forced to jump back and avoid subsequent windblades, but not before one nicks him on the leg during the jump. He flinches at the hit but he forces himself to take it, it's not enough to take him down and he's got to keep up with this windy prick.]
I could say the same to you, you know. There's a reason why I'm Thistle's special weapon.
[He. Is not called that at all. But again, optics. This is the chuuni fight for the ages, but at least Odin has the excuse of being literally 15. He and Fishl would get along, maybe.]
You got any more tricks up your sleeve, windy boy?
[ They don't call them normal attacks for nothing!! ]
Plenty, but they're wasted on someone as pathetic as you!
[ ...and he says that, but as soon as Odin starts taking damage he's going to change up his tactics. Patience is not his strong suite, and there's only so many windblades he can fire out before he gets bored.
It's charged attacks now- which are more difficult for him to keep up with, but they're stronger and much more likely to toss Odin off of his feet.
He swipes his hand up to summon more cyclones, swirling winds around him. ]
[Oh that looks like a strong attack that he really doesn't want to take full force. Dodging is out of the question though, what with all those cyclones there. So instead he charges for Zenith himself, and he'll try to jump up and kick Zenith to break his concentration on his charged attack. When dodging isn't an option, it's time to attack directly.
Even if it does land though, the kick won't have the usual 'oomph' to it. This time it's not for a lack of trying though, the dirt on him means he can't use gravity powers effectively against other people and all of his attacks are strengthened by his gravity powers.]
[ His stamina is already waning from fighting Lupin, not that he's going to let that stop him. But the kick does land and it's enough to break his concentration, the winds swirling out of control around them as he's knocked clean out of the sky.
