I don't think he should be worrying about it. The demons or whatever's really running this place probably know about him already, so what's he really hiding from?

People have all kinds of reasons for keeping things hidden. He probably doesn't need to worry, but it would be a pain if his mortal enemy showed up here and tried to kill him or something, right?

That might be a bad example. I do think he should at least tell you if there's a reason for hiding, though. You can't help if you don't know what you're helping with.

Okay. Avoid Green Lanterns at all costs. But there's no way to account for the rest of that. Things being unknown is just a part of life. You don't know who will be an enemy or an ally most of the time.

Aside from that, though, it should be easy enough for you to avoid notice from most people. Can you pop up as a little scarab cube when you're talking to Ananke? Aides has tons of little robot projects; you can just pretend to be one of those if someone happens to ask about it. There's lots of plausible deniability to work with here.

You haven't seen what Aides can do. He set up the security system around the whole perimeter. He might be considered a civilian to you, but on his world he's anything but one. At least take some time to think it over; even if you don't let him tinker with anything, he could have some good ideas for self-repair. But don't do anything that would hurt Ananke, of course.
