Well, that life sure has been slicing, except where it hasn't. It's been a long day. Why not take a night walk? Or lay down and... oh, oh, the dreams are mixing again.

By studying them and other phenomena related to Blot we hope to someday be able to prevent any more incidents from occurring at all. That means no more overblot, no more Phantoms, no more villages wiped out by rampaging monsters. It's a long way off, but we're doing what we can.

We know how blot incidents occur and steps that individual mages can take to prevent most of them. As an occurrence it's become fairly rare when mages are properly equipped.

What about all the poor village mages out on the fringes that can't afford to get properly equipped? You got a plan to help them?

If we had a plan to help everybody in the world at the same time we'd already have implemented it. It's not like we just gave up after one thing sort of worked a little.

We thought about a global constant surveillance system, but it turns out that's unethical and creepy.

Way less expensive to just give everyone in the world the equipment they need I bet.

The problem is, 'the equipment they need' isn't 100% effective, and even if it were, it hinges on a rare type of gemstone. So even if we knew who and where every mage was and could give them the equivalent of a giant magical diamond as soon as they were born, a strong enough mage could still have a blot event.
