Do you have fun doing that kind of thing?

[ So he really did just have to will it to work. ]

[ And he does look a little happy thinking about it. ]
I was raised in a very very strict, traditional family. This sort of thing is generally frowned upon as being gaudy or beneath the dignity of the family.
[ So it's probably a little odd for him to be performing. ]
It is the first thing I wanted to do on my own, though. That I reached out for, not because it was required or expected of me, but because I wanted to. I think music, and the unique ability that it possesses to reach others on an emotional level, is beautiful.

[ There are far too many things they are forced to keep up with and attend to. It feels as though they are dealing with a new unexpected crisis every other day.]
But occasionally I need a break.
[ He's... exhausted, to be honest. Getting blown up a couple of times just does not make for a good night. Especially not after being right on the heels of other unpleasant business.]
I need to recalibrate and puzzle out my new approach with Hope-san once more, and I am testing out various methods in how to deal with the wolves again, should they appear. With all of this going on, sometimes, it is nice to simply step back and focus on something a little more peaceful, like music.

[ His brows knit, privately bothered, not for the first time, by that entire situation. Arms wrapping around his waist, his mind drifts back to the eternity of despair that exists as a ceaseless void inside that body, unsure how it can even hold up against the magnitude of it all.]
I pulled her out once, but at some cost to myself. And, unfortunately, it is not as though it was permanent. I have not given up on reaching into that pit of despair and grasping her hand though. The fact that she can be reached or communicated with at all gives me hope that there is something we can do to help her from that hell.

I see. Sounds like an adventure.

Do you want to face them to find a solution, or just to prove that you can?

[ Aha... ]
I want to face them now, though, to find a solution. But considering the toll last time, I would like to explore different methods moving forward, and use Charm as a las resort.

Though I think if we cross paths again I will actually just say that I desire to speak with her.
[ Like... a least he can be honest. There's no point in lying if they wind up that close already. ]
Are you familiar with the Honeysuckle in the forest?

[ . . . . . . . He glances away with the smallest pout tugging at his lips. ]
And I am forbidden from trying to retrieve it myself or wandering into the forest. But I do have some access to it. And I am hoping to use it as a means of defense at the very least. For instance, testing if it is effective against those fog wolves. Naturally, I have no way of knowing if it would be right now. But considering my regular arrows did nothing last time, I am not in a worse position if it does not. Without magic, I am in trouble if confronted either way.
[ He shakes his head- ]
I am getting off track. My point is, I wonder if the Honeysuckle might actually help with the situation regarding Miss Hope?
This is mere speculation right now. I have not even used the Honeysuckle for anything specific yet and would need to test its effects with individuals who are overpowered in order to observe its effects, to begin with. So please do not consider this a concrete plan by any means. I am merely tossing my thoughts around right now. But I wonder if it would, in some way, be effective in reaching her while also tempering the more negative effects that Teleute possesses.

Sunflowers are effective against the wolves.

[ God he hates Red. ]
I had approached Red about the possibility of enchanting my arrows, but he told me it was impossible since I don't have powers to begin with.
[ He is...a pleb. ]
He had told me there was a way to fight against them without magic but refused to tell me how. Thank you for telling me.

[ Even just... having to get into his own barn. Since they only just now got a drawbridge.]
And I am training every day.
[ Prior to having asked for help from a master. ]
That said, I am much more inexperienced than most when it comes to combat in this place in general. I am not under the illusion that I am somehow more equipped for this sort of thing than others. But if there is one thing I refuse, it is to remain helpless. And if nothing else, I am a determined and hard worker.
[ That is, perhaps, one of his best qualities. It is something he can feel comfortable claiming because he will always put in hard work.]
. . . Ideally, there would not be a fight to begin with. I would much rather appeal to her personality and reason. But naturally, just because I might prefer that it doesn't mean anything.
