WHEN: Just before sunset.

[Life has been SLICING in the pasture, good shit!! It's also been getting a lot warmer. Well, it is summer(?) spring(?) there is no calendar here don't worry about it.

But there is some SIGNFICANT heat coming from a portion of the fence and--oh. oh no. Is that Patches? Is he setting the fence on--yeah he's setting the fence on fire. Is anyone surprised??

As soon as the wood burns away, mist begins pouring into the pasture, forming into foggy, wolf-like beast. It snaps up the first sheep it sees, shaking it like a ragdoll and leaving it a messy pulp before looking for bigger prey.

But that isn't the only issue. More mist is still pouring through the broken fence, but. . .it's not forming wolves. It's just creepily, quickly, spreading across the pasture.

BUT THAT'S NOT ALL. So anyone who had those friendship stars? They begin to jingle just as the fence breaks. Then they float into the air. . .and shoot off. They're not so fast that you can't follow them, however, and they're heading to outer meadow.

SO WHAT'S HAPPENING?

1) STARS. Wanna ignore this shit and follow your star? Do so here.

2) But for real someone should probably deal with the FENCE and WOLF before Patches lets more murderwolves in.

3) Ain't got time for either of that? Away from the nonsense! Cool! The mist is still creeping about. If you happen to inhale or walk through or otherwise come in contact with the mist, you'll experience on of two effects:
A) Prey - You are suddenly overcome with emotion and extremely clingy. You want someone to comfort you-you might cry on them. You might hug them, begging them to stay with you. You just want someone there with you.

B) Predator - What is this IRRITATION. You're fussy, you're in a sour mood, and you want to know where YOUR PEOPLE ARE. You find yourself being far more protective than normal and snapping at anyone who you deem a threat, or at anyone who doesn't want to be yours.

OR YOU JUST COMPLETELY MISS THIS, IT'S FINE. It's just one wolf! How hard can this be!]

IS NOW A TURBO CROW WOLF BEAST!!!

The light still hurts it, but it's got more incentive to try and snap at him, trying to take away his staff]

[ well. that's not great. thanks final fantasy birds.

He's keeping a very firm grip around the staff even as the beast tries to snap at him, aiming the beam of light directly into its face.

He flicks a couple windblades at it just to keep it at bay, but- ]

We need more light, Tempo!

[the light pivots and burns it directly in the eye, gaining another snarl of pain, and this time it swipes blindly at him, and anyone in the vicinity]

[ he manages to avoid being slashed at, because he’s a smol tool box, but even if he’s not quick enough he hopes blasting it in the face with a brilliant green light is enough to help. ]

Pii, pii!

[the swipe gets an opaque black double of Shadow Fiend, but Shadow Fiend herself manages to dodge it, calling up more vines to grab onto the wolf's legs and keep it from swiping again.]

Wow, it did NOT like that, huh? I'll distract it while you burn it!

[now double blinded by the flashing green light from Tempo, it stars blindly snapping at the air, flapping its wild massive wings as it does so--

Until the wings and its legs are bound by the vines. Teamwork makes the dream work. It lets out a despairing howl as mist starts escaping from it.

Now or never!]

[ since shadow fiend has it distracted tempo hurries closer, the shield fantasia got from red ( the regular one ) used to crack the wolf over the head to further stun it as he once again covers the enter area in a bright, green light. ]

[more vines wrap around her shepherd's staff, growing long, long thorns out of the top, turning it into a spear? thing? close enough to a spear, anyway, even if the balance is off--

--and she's going to take the opportunity to hit with a flurry of spear strikes, four times in quick succession.]

...not bad.

[ That's about as close to "thanks" as it gets from him, Shadow Fiend. With her and Tempo's assistance though he charges forward again, shining the sunflower light on the crow-wolf-mist-monster.

And as Tempo cracks it on the head and showers the area in more green light, he fires a huge gust of wind to blast the monster back into the mist. ]

[T-TRIPLE COMBO....

Stunned by the hit from the shield, and completely immobilized by all the light pouring on to it, the wolf howls in pain, leaving it completely vulnerable. Normally a stab from the staff would hurt but wouldn't stop it for long, but the spears driving through it in quick succession force it, black ink like blood spewing from its misty form.

And then Zenith's wind comes into play, toppling it back through the fence just before it's sealed up--though the dark birds it melded with managed to escape, leaving it to its fact.

A final anguished howl, and the beast dissipates.]

[there are fluttering bird-shadows left still alive when it vanishes --

but they do blink out too and escape, to fight another day. bye!]
