[ he sets a hand on his arm and pushes it back at him. ] I'll be fine. [ he tries to pick up his pace, offering a strained and lopsided smile. ] And besides, you're hurt too.

[ chance. oh boy. kaveh has the worst luck, so he is just internally screaming. ] ...fun. [ except not. ]

[ He's not helping his case about being annoying, but Wanderer relents with a shrug and a very skeptical look. Whatever, he tried. ] ...if you say so. Just try to keep up.

Yeah, so fun. [ He's not the biggest fan of it, either. He rolls his eyes. ] How do your abilities work?

[ he's not being annoying! he's being considerate! ] I'm doing just fine. [ ignore the wheezing and the blood. ]

[ wanderer is going to regret asking. ] Kissing.

[ That's being annoying! But he just scoffs, rolling his eyes again because he doesn't believe that for a second. ] As long as you can keep walking...

[ He does regret asking. He stares at Kaveh. ]

...on second thought, I think I'll be fine without your healing.

Real mature. It’s not as if I intended to jam my tongue down your throat. A simple kiss on the lips would have sufficed.

Do you think I want your dumb dice to decide my fate when the first thing you heard me say was my luck was crap?

A "simple kiss" on the lips...? I don't exactly kiss people very often.

...you have a point, but one of those things is far more invasive than the other. What's the worst thing that can happen, the dice decide not to heal you?

[ kaveh has to refrain from asking if he's ever kissed somebody... but then he'd have to bring up the last time he kissed anybody and... he doesn't want to talk about that. ]

With my luck the die would probably split in half and then, yeah, probably.

[ It's unlikely he would have answered anyway, but he scoffs at Kaveh's response. ] I doubt it'll be that bad.

Here- we're probably close enough to try. [ They're near enough to the fence, so... with some concentration he summons a green die, flipping it into the air. It lands with... a 2.

He looks from the number, to Kaveh... who would feel some of his more immediate and life-threatening injuries heal as well as most of the surface cuts and bruises, but his ribs are still definitely broken. ]

...alright. [ he reaches out for the fence, leaning against it as soon as he's able. as soon as he sees the die he balls a fist, hoping that his luck will have finally turned around, but it lands on a two. his jaw tightens and though he feels some of his more immediate injuries heal he can still feel the tenderness in his chest. he keeps his head down, but murmurs some thanks to his companion. ] I told you.

[ but there are other matters to take care of. ] Now for you.

[ To his credit, he does look a little guilty about it. Even if it's not strictly his fault, he doesn't like to feel useless. He sighs, propping a hand against his hip and glancing to the side. ] ...it looks like that's the best I can do.

[ Another pause... and he debates complaining about it, but... he's not going to leave himself at a disadvantage. ] Yeah, yeah. Just get it over with.

I'm sure I'll be alright, h- hah, you tried... and I'm mostly fine. [ he's not mostly fine. he has two broken ribs. ] Abilities based on chance, imagine that. [ he tries for a smile, but he only ends up wincing as he pushes away from the fence. ]

Apologies in advance that you have to kiss such an annoying guy. [ he cups wanderer's cheek and gives him a chaste kiss on the lips, healing him of all his injuries. ]

[ Yeah no, Kaveh is definitely not mostly fine. The "you tried" just irritates him further. ] It wouldn't have been my first choice...

[ He squeezes his eyes shut as Kaveh cups his cheek, and tenses up when he kisses him. Though he does relax after a moment as his injuries heal, he still pushes Kaveh back and touches his lips self-consciously. ] ...well, that was... effective.

[ WHEEZE. ]

[ kaveh immediately drops to his knees, bringing his arms to his chest as he coughs. ] Can you please be more careful?

[eonsadrift]

You- [ He huffs, stopping short of blaming Kaveh for his own mistake. ] Right... sorry. [ He holds out a hand to help him up to his feet. ]

We should get you back to someone who can actually help.

[noarchitact]

...I, I just need a minute. [ and not to be touched. he does take wanderer's hand, gripping it tightly, so he can get back to his feet. ]

[eonsadrift]

[ Well, too bad. Now that Wanderer isn't injured, Kaveh has no excuse not to lean on him. He pulls him to his feet and doesn't let go. ] ...take your time.

...the kiss hadn't been that bad, right? [ he does lean on him. ] It couldn't have been worth all of that fussing you did.

[eonsadrift]

[ He's silent for a bit, but he does feel like he owes Kaveh something, so... ] Ugh... no, it wasn't bad. [ How embarrassing. ] I'm just not used to so much... human contact.

[noarchitact]

If you do find yourself in need of a heal, then... you can always come find me. [ he's not so sure he'll want to take another roll of the dice, but maybe his luck will have turned around by then. ] Fair. I imagine a kiss is jumping from 0 to 10. Maybe we should have held hands first. [ he chuckles, because that had been a bit of a joke. ]

Hah... once I can get my vision back, I doubt I'll need it. But I'll keep that in mind. [ He doesn't even offer Kaveh the same deal after the botched ribs healing... Though he rolls his eyes at the joke, scoffing. ] ...I guess that might have helped...

[ it's fine. it's not like he had been expecting a similar offer in return. he does smile, glad to have at least gotten a reaction out of him. ] I'll keep that in mind for next time.

If there's a next time. Once I can get my vision back, nothing in this place will be able to touch me.

If there is a next time... [ he echoes. ] I guess this is good-bye for now then.
