I'm stunned myself, trying to picture it! I certainly couldn't knock an animal as large as those unconscious with my fists alone.

In that case, please back me up, Mademoiselle. Such large predators near where we're staying will certainly cause problems in the future, so I would like to scare them off if I can.

If your powers and mine are any indication, the people who have been brought here may be rather strong! Even if we leave them alone, more people will come to explore the lake. I think it would be better to teach them to be cautious of creatures like us, lest they assume we are easy meals and run afoul of someone who would be fully in the right to defend themselves when attacked.

Hey, I'm only going to punch it if it attacks us first. I don't go fighting animals for a reason that might not even be true.

Mm. I would be happy if I could simply observe them--it's terribly rude to intervene in the natural course of things unnecessarily.

But, in my experience, it is also good to be honest with them and ourselves that we are competing with them for resources. The population here grew a little over thirty in number overnight, the kitchens provided are only supplied with vegetables--not all of it suitable for human consumption. The shopkeeper as well is already trading for materials that can only be found beyond the pasture fences... You can see how I reached my conclusion, non?
