It's been a minute so: new barn post time! Yesterday was chaos! Today, we have a full flock!

Rose Barn status: Really Nice kitchen, half-heartedly maintained firepit out front (it's literally an ashen bald spot in the grass with some half burned bits in it) a rather tasteful firepit, pretty but uncomfortable red velvet couch, and as many fancy pillows as you could ever want. Also there's the pretty crystalline rose sculpture that gives you flock powers, but I'm going to rule Angel Devil has hid the sign explaining their powers so no visitors start wondering what "literal emotional support" means.

Angel Devil leaves it like this when he's out the house, so he is luckily not around to comment that's what you get. ]</sub>

[somewhat belatedly, as if needing time to decide whether collaborating to yeet Dabi into the mist really counted as a group activity, the mysterious power of herd mentality will quietly upgrade Rose's firepit from an ashen bald spot to a nice stone campfire pit, a sunken circle of earth lined with heavy river rocks and covered in gravel at the bottom. a simple but cute addition to the Rose barn.

toward the evening, Shadow Fiend can be found flopped on a pile of sheep by the new firepit, enjoying the warmth of an open (but safely contained) fire.]

I don't remember what we did to earn this, but I'm glad we did it!

<sub>[ before the sun's fully set, the glow from the fire is casting some real interesting shadows on the wall of the nearby barn. haha, that one almost looks like a dog.

actually, two of the shapes both REALLY REALLY look like dogs. they lean in toward each other, shoulders seeming to silently shake with mirth. ]</sub>

[Shadow Fiend pauses in the middle of gathering red sheep for her nap pile. that's... well, that's certainly unusual, but they don't look dangerous.

then again, as she well knows, shadows can be more dangerous than they look.

she will slowly set the sheep in her arms down and pick up her shepherd's staff, waiting to see what the shadow poodles will do.]

_{[ as she draws closer, one of the dogs elbows the other in the ribs, going shhh, shhhhh!, and pointing at Shadow Fiend -- but it's too late. they've caught her attention. they try to keep it down. but they just can't help it. the attempt at silence doesn't last for long. one shadow shifts into an exaggerated pose of thoughtfulness-- ]}

"If it was burnt, why does it look mostly new?"

_{[ the second shadow presses its paws to its face, and dances in place as if overtaken with panic. ]}

The "why" is just "I don't know!" And the "where" is just "somewhere else."

_{[ they break 'character,' leaning into each other as they both just absolutely lose it. ]}

[A newbie is here! He is mostly approving of the place; it's better than "barn" would imply by far. The sculpture is most enchanting, though. He feels compelled to touch it, so he does, carefully. It feels powerful, though he can't place how... Maybe magic really is real?]

So who's the interior decorator?

You'll find the general aesthetic of each barn irrespective to concrete choice, on our parts... it is a mystery to you as much as we. But the pillows are mine. I had the shopkeeper fox summon them up for me.

[He is starting to get a slightly better handle on how this place works, so instead of making the wrong assumption, he asks the question:]

Fox as in foxy, or fox as in actually a real fox?

Unfortunately for us all, he is a factual, fluffy animal fox, who is quite lazily disguising himself with what may be the body of a live sheep.

I have no idea. But with how things work around here, he probably just shrugs it on like a coat in the morning on his way back from wherever he trundles off to at night.

By which I mean he has taken many of them to make a pillow nest upon which to try and sleep the day away on.]

Minor, meaningless disagreements in the past with certain individuals make me hesitant to march in at leisure. If it were any other flock, that would be one thing... but a clear onus no one can help would make things much smoother in this case.

Well, naturally. I wouldn't be so uncouth as to ask something for nothing. _{[ he would totally just take it if someone was willing to give him something for nothing and he could rationalize it as not Owing them too significantly. ]} ...before we haggle, I won't be hunting down anything live. I am attempting to have one singular day that is bloodshed free.
