- the book is laid out next to a bowl of Lily's grade-A strength 'we were being actively tortured in multiple ways through the second ritual and could NOT stop bawling' healing tears
- Cerby gets to scan the book as thoroughly as possible, and apply tears as necessary if they do anything for the side effects of reading demon texts that don't belong to you. everyone is hopeful his magic-nullifying powers just null the book altogether while he looks at it but that seems unlikely!
- everyone else stays back as best as they can and keeps an eye on Cerby with instructions to KO him if he starts Acting Funny or trying to do a ritual
- the point of this is to get the book into a Lily's head so they can reproduce the pages via illusion or manual copying later. since photography doesn't work. they need to translate it and they probably can't/shouldn't hang onto the ACTUAL book for long.
