You'd know better, being here longer and more familiar with the workings of this place. I've kept myself from getting too involved in things beyond my understanding unless I can assist at all.

[ Running his fingers through his hair and handing him the towel in case he wants to wipe anything else. ]

Though I was going to call on you for something I have been investigating. I'm not sure how helpful it would be for this, but... it still feels like it could be useful in general.

[He takes the towel, but this is really too much for just a towel to take care of. Does he know that? Probably.]

[ *He doesn't like looking like an idiot. Turns to take Rubato by the hand and lead him to the bed, takes the towel and sets it on the bedpost and motions to him to sit.

His journal, along with some loose notes and sketches, are on one side of the bed (as well as some potions rubrics? Looks like homework.) ]

First, what brought you here, anyway?

[He scoots where Belle directs him but he doesn't want to dirty the bed, he truly has been rolling around in the forest for days.]

I have been quite busy with the labor of a huntsman, and for many days and nights I have worked only to catch prey and prepare it for the stores. Having tarried too long in the dark and lonesome woods, today I was struck suddenly with an inexorable desire to see your most merveilleux mien without delay--and so I made my way here straight away!

[ Okay that makes him feel a little smug, and he lifts an eyebrow. ]

I'd hope you would want to see my beautifully kept self after all of that. Though you could have asked me to go with you, too.

[ Which means... ]

But if you've been out there this long, then you certainly need to freshen up first. Come along.

[ To their bathroom- ]

Oui, my routine has been quite neglected! [✨]

[ Chuckles, taking him to the bathroom- first, the shower- ]

I see you found yet another pleasant excuse to be here. Off with your clothes, now.

[ Well, he's here, and he'll help. ]

[Starts shedding layers! A little less careful about the dirt now that they're in the bathroom]

[ It's not like he hasn't seen Rubato undressed before, but even so.

He is politely looking away, though his own blazer is coming off and being hung up. He's wearing a button-down and trousers under, anyway, for indoor wear- and he's also casting glances over Rubato to see if he's injured... ]

[He's bruised and scratched from some of the feistier game he was hunting, but nothing that won't heal up just fine with proper attention.]

You won't be joining me, Roi du Poison?

[ His own gaze softens at the sight of that, though Rubato's question makes him raise an eyebrow right after. ]

I'm here, aren't I? Come here, first.

[ Beckoning him closer to him with his arm extended. ]

Kiss me.

Could it be ma Belle actually has a fondness for this disheveled state?

I'm trying to heal you, first. It's better than you having my blood.

[ But he didn't deny that, very obviously. ]

Oh? The offer of blood can be quite meaningful though.

[Drifting over to Belle, half dressed.]

Perhaps.

[ Sliding a hand into Rubato's hair, using it to pull his head closer. ]

I wouldn't give it so freely, but you are being especially adorable today. I may even let you have some, as a treat.

[ Is that a hint of his fangs there while he speaks. ]

Fufufu, I am honored that you would even entertain the notion of marring your lovely skin for so humble a parishioner as myself. [Said the way he always says things: like he's not actually expecting Belle to bleed for him or anything, he just enjoys chasing ideas.]

[Belle seems like he knows what he wants instead, so Rubato just tilts his head obligingly into Belle's hands]

Honestly...

[ Fondly exasperated- while he might not mar his skin, no— it doesn't mean he doesn't have ideas on how to do it. For now, he just pulls Rubato's face close and closes their mouths together for a kiss. It's definitely sweet and tender, but also not innocent- since he now knows the more they kiss, the better the healing.

His tongue will follow, teasing behind his teeth and inviting Rubato to move his, too. ]

[Eyes narrow but don't close entirely as he kisses back, like he's trying to watch Belle and divine his thoughts.]

[ Belle has his eyes closed, but he's well aware of Rubato's gaze being on him. It's hard not to-

Which is why, when he does what he does next, his own eyes half-open and look squarely into his eyes, sharp and focused- and the taste of his own blood will now touch Rubato's tongue from where Belle has scraped his fangs over the inside of his mouth to prick himself during the kiss.

No outward marring, but now it's Rubato's turn to take advantage of this moment. ]

[Oh!! He laughs into the kiss, surprised, delighted, amused. It isn't long before Rubato is tracing the scratch on Belle's tongue, the little cut healing up in the wake of Rubato's prodding, the intimacy of that kiss being enough to fully wipe both their injuries.]

[ He is quite amused at Rubato's reaction, but he wasn't expecting him to be weirded out. His hands moves to his cheeks to just affectionately squeeze, even as their kiss continues- it's still intimate and passionate, and it's only until he needs to take a breath that he pulls back just enough to bump his nose to his own. A glance to his body, and the lack of pain in his own mouth is telling enough. ]

Well, well. [ Breathless for a second- quickly gathering himself and moving to kiss the tip of Rubato's nose. ] An indulgence on top of a treat. Aren't you spoiled, Rubato.
