It’s a normal day in the pasture. The sun’s shining, the birds are singing and oh great googly moogly you’re late for work! Where’s work? There’s work! Which is to say, wherever you were before, you find yourself sitting in a small meeting room with your flock. Through the glass windows you can see little imps running around before a ram-skulled one in a button up shirt, suspenders and slacks bursts into the office.

“Listen up! We’re runnin’ behind today, and the news has been TOO SLOW. Somethin’ about “CR month” or whatever- we need stories and we need ‘em now- the station’s goin’ live ASAP. Make somethin’ up, the stars need somethin’ to talk about! NOW GET TO IT!”

… And then the demon is gone, and your weed comes in, dressed similarly with a notepad. Welcome your editor, folks.

Of course he did. Seems like he gives everyone something different for those; I had to get punched in the face once.

At least you could theoretically do that gently.
