[Making your way to your new barn, you'll find your personal meadow is peppered with blue flowers, the occasional blue brainless sheep, a small pond full of clear, fresh water, and curiously a big, blooming blueberry tree. Blueberries don't grown on trees! Don't worry about it.

When you enter your barn, you'll find it's. . .quaint.

The first thing you see is your team's name painted in blue on a wall, surrounded by a wreath of flowers. Above it is a wooden plaque with an inspirational message in the style of those Live, Laugh, Love fixtures, just. A bit hard to read.

Your eyes will be drawn to a tall crystalized bluebell sculpture below the plaque. You may feel the urge to touch it, and if not, some nearby framed instructions on the wall may give you a nudge. "Touch to regain your lost abilities!"

Unfortunately, while you may innately know how to activate them, what exactly do they do? You'll have to figure that out.

As for the rest of the barn itself, it's two stories and fairly basic. There is hay everywhere, and six extremely basic cots, three upstairs, three downstairs. If you examine them and remove the hay, each member of the team will find three outfits (+pajamas) for their use.

There is also a sign pointing the way to an attached portapotty--thankfully, it somehow opens up to a basic bathroom. There's one toilet, one very small bath, rickety shower, and sink. In the cabinet is enough soap, paper, and dental hygiene products for all.


Rustic is putting it lightly, but it seems that this is your home away from home!]

Mine too. [ he smiles. ] And while I don't have any magic to be able to do anything as dazzling as that... I do intend to try to bring a little magic of my own to this drab barn.

This barn is certainly very rustic at the moment! What do you intend to change, monsieur?

Rustic is putting it nicely. It's managed to offend every one of my five senses, so, yes, I intend to try to spruce it up... [ he takes a look around. ] I want to see if we can do a little better than the cots. And while I doubt we can find any furniture just laying around perhaps we can make some. A couple of decorations couldn't hurt either.

All changes that will improve the ambience considerably, to be sure! Should the deliberations about that sacrifice not be fruitful, we'll have started planning for our stay. How prescient to work ahead!

[ hhhhhhhhhhhhhnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnngggggggggg. ] We should probably start talking about that, don't you think? What are your... thoughts?

Blood is not an unheard of ingredient in magical workings, and if it is true that only a little is needed, as dear Blossom claimed, then it seems likely it is more a matter of targeting the ones whose blood is used! How that will benefit us in making a way home remains a mystery. Fufu, but magic may work a bit differently here.

In any case, what of talking with all of the other flocks as well? A sort of town meeting!

Are you volunteering to go round everybody up, because that seems like quite the task.

Then let us pose it as an opportunity to trade and sample everyone's fruits! That is sure to attract people.

[Apparently wasn't sure if he was trying to hide the broken ribs or not so was perfectly fine not to bring it up until he alluded to it just now.]

I... am injured, yes. I have two broken ribs.

I noticed your breathing was rather labored.

[Honestly whether it was or not, this guy would have said the same thing, since even the mildest change in breathing is something that stands out to him]

[gives the illustrated instructions on the wall a considering glance.]

Shall I try out my newly bestowed gifts? I believe I should be able to heal you.

[ damn. he thought he had been hiding it well. ] ...ah, if you'd like to. I had to heal a [ friend. ] companion of mine, so I know that it heals, but I don't know if it'll heal something as severe as this. I have been moving around a lot. [ he brings a hand to his chest and winces. ] We can try. [ he's not sure if he's going to need a few kisses or... how this works. ]

Fufu, if you have been well enough to walk and speak and even laugh a little, then at the least we know nothing more dire needs to be done to put those cracked ribs back into place. For such an injury, even a doctor would prefer to suggest you simply rest and do breathing exercises to prevent stale air in the lungs. Your own musculoskeletal structure will have been keeping the bones where they need to be--so all we need to do is speed up the healing process!

If you would do me the favor of taking slow deep breaths as I work so that I might monitor the healing's effectiveness, I shall begin!

[Excuse him as he takes the other's hand, smoothly turning it so he can kiss his palm where his handwear isn't in the way--listens for a change in the quality of his breathing.]

I did get a little bit of healing earlier. From the person I was with. [ he frowns, taking his head in hand. ] I could barely breath at the start. It even hurt to do so. But I didn't exactly want anybody to worry. [ or know. so he's doing his best to pretend like he's fine. but of course mr. notices everything caught on quick, so there's no use in trying to continue this charade. ]

[ as he tries to take deep, slow breathes he does end up coughing... but thankfully the kiss to the hand does seem to be taking care of some things. kaveh brings a hand to his chest, the skin there still tender, though the bruising seems to have disappeared. ]

[takes his sleeve (without permission) and pushes it up, planting another kiss on the inside of the other’s elbow—is he planning to just continue??]

Are you experimenting on me with our abilities? [ he'll notice that it does seem to have a bit more of an effect, kaveh's movements and breathing coming easier and without much issue... but that also means that rook is getting his chin grabbed. ] I'm in pain, you know. [ tugs him close, until they're nose to nose. ] I don't want to risk this getting worse before it gets better, so if you don't mind... [ kaveh closes the remaining distance between them for a chaste kiss. ]

[for some reason he’s surprised about getting kissed]

[ kaveh keeps a hold of his chin, but returns some of his space to him. he brings his other hand to his chest to experimentally press here and there, revealing that it's no longer tender. he starts poking now, which does earn a wince, but it's not really as bad as it had been before. rook did heal him quite a bit with his kisses, and their latest kiss seems to have taken care of the rest, but... ] One more. [ he looks back at rook. ] And that should do it.
