I am attempting to put together a sort of food bank by repurposing the communal kitchens. That is... since there are some here who do not have fruit trees, or in the event of another weather event, I thought it might be useful.

It makes me feel uncomfortable if someone has to beg or ask for food. No one here should have to go hungry, I think, or have to lower their pride or demean themselves for a bite. But I am equally bothered by others invading a person's property without permission for the sake of getting it as well since I dislike the insecurity felt by having people prowl in our safe space. It makes me feel uneasy.

So I wished to ask if the other flocks would be willing to donate a little bit of any excess fruit they may have to the kitchen. Protein if it can be spared too, for those who cannot hunt or get it as easily. But fruit especially.

. . . I despise her quite a bit, so I understand. However, I was thinking beyond her, too. Since I do not really care to listen to her typical 'woe is me my life is hard because I am a weed and everyone is so mean' speeches.

Well. We have three hunters in our flock. I suppose we are fortunate in that regard. We also are tending to various gardens and are raising quail. We have managed to become self-sufficient for the most part, so we can afford to share.

I just supposed it must be more difficult when you do not have a cohesive team, a proper solid base, or the same resources.

My flock is four people, there's more weeds than there are Daffodils.

If they can't get their shit together that's kinda pathetic. They can make a garden. They can forage and hunt. They can ask for food without a thirty minute sob story that ain't even that good.

AT LEAST MAKE THE STORY GOOD COWARD

It truly is not a good story. Every time it begins, I simply wish to toss her back into the lazy river. Especially because she is always after Bluebell.

Or, perhaps I rather despise how she plays the victim while actually being quite unpleasant. You cannot physically attack others and verbally insult them and then constantly cry foul about it when they respond.

If you are irksome and disagreeable, you will be treated that way. I do believe that is only fair.

I tried to teach her skills t'trade for food and stuff and she said I was treatin' her like a slave.

Eh...? And it was rejected? But...

Perhaps it is not always fun to learn something you do not wish to do, like laundry.

[It was fun the first few times because it was new. Now it is boring and time-consuming.]

But the more you know, the less you have to depend on others. I suppose I have no sympathy if she is unwilling to put in the work. I am fairly sure that Clover dotes on and takes care of her though, for whatever wild reason. So I highly doubt she is out there starving.

Yeh so the useless herbivore is fine.
