WHO: all of you
WHERE: day 74
WHEN: through the day tbh
[there's trauma approaching in the distance but it ain't showing up quite yet THIS day!
it's a really beautiful day, actually. sunny and deeply pleasant weather. maybe sometime today people might return from a snadventure (snake adventure), or maybe not? the wildlife and your lil resident sheep are all perky and up and at 'em and full of energy. hopping.
what about you?]

Rose
Or... unofficially at least.
Regardless, a petite girl shows up at the door in the morning. Knock Knock Knock.]
Re: Rose
Oh! It's you.
I thought perhaps you had gone home.
Re: Rose
[ . . . Aha.]
Somehow, I made my way back though. My memories are kind of a blur regarding it all if I'm honest.
Re: Rose
[If she remembered more he'd press her for details.]
What brings you to Rose?
Re: Rose
Re: Rose
[He leans down closer to her level.]
And what do you have to offer?
Re: Rose
I don't have much to offer. I don't own anything here beyond a couple of outfits. But what I do possess is blood as well.
[She meets his mismatched eyes.
. . . . . . Mismatched eyes draw on such an unpleasant memory. But he is not that person.]
I am a vampire. As such, I need to consume blood semi-regularly to function well. It doesn't necessarily have to be human, but... humanoid at the very least. A regular animal just doesn't cut it.
[She lifts a hand up to her chest.]
I am what someone would consider a pureblood back home. Pureblood vampires possess blood with miracle properties and have been...sought after quite often by others through the ages. It has the ability to help aid in healing, stave off disease or illness, and provide an increase in strength, powers, stamina, and longevity, among many other things.
[It isn't something given away lightly. Not back home, at least...]
What I wish to ask for is an exchange. Your flock's abilities deal in blood, and you both heal and can heal others by using it. No other flock would benefit as much from my own when you already must consume it yourselves. In exchange for being provided blood on a semi-regular basis, I would share my own with your flock.
Re: Rose
However.
[He straightens up, looking at her thoughtfully.]
If your blood does have special properties it may be worth looking into. You may give your offer to my other flockmates. If they're interested then we'll provide for you.
Re: Rose
I would be very glad for the opportunity to do so. A couple of others in the pasture have helped in the past, but I do dislike insecurity when it comes to hunger. So I would feel much better with a proper arrangement like this if your flock is so willing.
Re: Rose
I believe you will find them amenable in one way or another.
Re: Rose
Re: Rose
Re: Rose
Wouldn't it benefit you to have someone specific you could feed from?
Re: Rose
[He strikes her as the self-sacrificing sort.]
And ideally, I certainly prefer to just have one partner for this sort of thing. But if I pick a single person, I can run into problems with that, too. For instance, people disappear all of the time here. The last individual I had an arrangement with has already disappeared.
[Mmm... She hums and tilts her head.]
In addition to that, if I focus on one person, even if I only drink every so often, I worry about putting a strain on their body. Well-- especially if they are human. The last thing I want is for someone to constantly feel a sense of anemia. If I have a few willing individuals though, I can remove that strain.
Re: Rose
[ Not. Like he's curious or anything. But... ]
Though I suppose you have a point in not straining a person. Well, I'd much prefer to not be fed from, but as a completely last resort- I may be able to assist. I would prefer you ask the others and see who you're more comfortable with first, though.
Re: Rose
[Bluebells are... well. They're very kind.]
However, I understand and I appreciate that you are forthcoming with your own feelings on the matter. I assure you, too, that anyone willing to share their blood will not have to worry about my fangs.
[She lifts a hand up to her mouth to gently touch one of the sharp points.]
They are poisonous, so I would rather not harm anyone with them, and draw blood via other methods.
Re: Rose
He sighs, though the mention of her fangs makes him look at her curiously. ]
How do you feed, then? And is the poison only in your fangs?
Re: Rose
[Her hand drops back down and she lifts her shoulders in a small little shrug.]
Back home, I am what is called a pureblood. Most vampires can feed without any sort of issue. The human would be fine so long as they didn't intentionally drain them dry or something. But, since I do not possess any human blood, they would be quite dangerous to an ordinary person. The poison would end up changing the individual into a vampire themselves.
For that reason, I simply fed from fellow vampires back home. And usually, it makes sense to feed among family members. If I am to drink blood here, I think the best method is probably just using a syringe. Otherwise, it would require cutting oneself with a claw or a knife.
[None of the methods are as nice as properly drinking from the source. But what can she do? Nothing.]
Re: Rose
Drawing blood from someone to store for a day or three could also help, couldn't it? We could make blood packs for you to freeze and store from whoever wants it. I think it would be easier for you as well to have them at hand, and replenish them as you need.
Re: Rose
Re: Rose
angie, while his mug of lavender-chamomile tea is spinning in the microwave , ]
My shepherd informs me you'd like to be promised some Rose blood.
I'm amenable. And I dare say wouldn't mind trying out what you've offered in return. I'm in a poor spot to provide, at the moment, however; just went through a bit of a nasty health scare. But do come to me, sometime, when I'm feeling a bit less peaky. I do like to think of myself as a . . . slaker of thirsts.
Re: Rose
Mm...? Are you? What of your own thirsts?
[Right now, if he is the one who is recovering, maybe he is the one in more need than her.]
If you are still in a poor way, why don't we reverse the situation? If you are willing to help aid me in the future, I see no reason why I cannot be the first to share. Perhaps it will aid in your quick recovery.
Re: Rose
It would also prove to my flock that you're as good as your word~... very well, dear. Here. Let's do this proper, like.
[ with a bit of wobble, it seems like he's going to lean closer-- then moves away, reaching to grab a wine glass from a cabinet. sets it down right in by her on the kitchen counter. looks around . . . where do they have the 'a rose needs to be bleeding rn' blades, rather than the cooking ones . . . ]
--Ah! What is my ONE good athame doing in the utensils drawer...? No matter. Here you are.
Re: Rose
The proper way he says. Well, I suppose blood in a wine glass does possess a certain amount of elegance and flair. Remember, pinky out~
[The blade moves in her hand and she cuts into her opposite palm deeply. The rich crimson of her blood blooms thick in her hand, and she holds it over the cup to spill the cherished life inside. The knife remains in place, embedded a bit uncomfortably into her skin to prevent the healing that her body already seeks to stitch together.
Still, she doesn't flinch from it at all. After all these years, a little cut isn't enough to shake her. Blood even less so.]
This ought to be enough, I think?
[She pulls the knife free, the injury already knitting itself together. She passes the wine glass over, the knife inside like a little stirrer. Her tongue slips out to slide up the inside of her hand and lap the blood that remains on her palm.]
You'll tell me how it tastes, won't you? I am curious how it will to one so different from home.
Re: Rose
he toasts her, and takes a drink. ]
Re: Rose
Imbued with a powerful strength, the warmth will nestle within Angie. Any dull aches and pains fade as power thrums throughout his veins. Those who consume it often feel stronger-- revitalized and whole, more beautiful and energized. It should carry a feeling of wellbeing and strength should it take to him as it does back home.
Miyu simply licks herself clean and then licks her lips to ensure no blood is left behind or wasted. Not that her own blood does anything for her. If only it were so easy.]
