Sounds like things got out of hand in your trial.

It was... slow going.

Who else was participating? Ours had only three, so that could have made it easier to stay out of each other's way.

The shepherds of Bluebell, Clover, and Lily, and two other bluebell and one lily.

Not exactly a fun time, though I was surprised they actually didn't go after me first.

That would be ideal. It's easier to see what’s going on from a safe distance, but now that the Wolves know about us and the Snake, we're stuck in their mess.

If the Wolves are the ones doing the summoning, yes. I've only gotten to be a spectator in one ritual before, and that resulted in a brawl so it's not like there was any guaranteed safety for me to compare to.
