[ With Bluebell's lovely morning rite, it's shaping up to be quite the peaceful day. The spring thaw continues, bringing young lilywogs with lingering stubby tails to the shores. It's easy to spot them floating among the reeds, though they're still prone to scattering if disturbed.

And across the pasture everyone is hopefully having a peaceful day, right? Or have some of you been getting up to shenanigans instead? ]

We all had to sing to advance and it was quite entertaining.

Also we may have found our priest. Rose's priest, that is.

And you couldn't bring them back with you, huh?

Unfortunately not. They must have deemed it too unsafe for us without a weed along and we were tossed back out.

But we unlocked a portal! And they're waiting for our return.

Wonder how long the portal'll hold out. When are you going back?

As soon as possible.

...Which might not be as soon as I'd like, as we have to reorganize with the others. A couple were bitten by mist sharks. We also need to grab a weed, and it would probably be a good idea to bring the rest of our flock along.

We're not a very large flock. Half of us were there the first trip.

-oh. We need to locate Angie's body.

[She WAS playing dumb with other people, but now that the jig is up and the dove's out of the bag, she won't bother. Not with someone who could detect his presence just by thinking about it hard enough.]

It's in the barn. It's pretty mauled and full of wolf cooties so I stuck him in a temporary body until we're able to fix and decontaminate his real one.

Oh? Excellent, I had hoped it hadn't ended up somewhere odd.

And I should have thought to actively search again after not being able to sense him earlier. This takes some getting used to.

Gotta say, I'm kinda... mmm... a little mystified by the cavalier attitudes of half the people coming out of the sea right now. A long-time resident of this place just got mauled to death by a monster and disappeared into the sea.

I'm trying to understand if he's that disliked, or if people here are just that jaded.

Oh no, I'm quite fond of Angie. I simply trust that he'll drag himself back or be dragged back one way or the other.

Do you feel that way about everybody, or just him?

Certain individuals.

Is there anyone who you think wouldn't be brought back if they died?

...Not really. Lily is pretty thorough. There was an accidental sheep death and Charon was willing to grab its little soul too.

But some individuals hold worse grudges than others over that sort of thing.

What, over dying? Or over other people getting revived?

Over dying, of course.

Unless there are some grudges being held that I'm unaware of.
