[GOOOOOD MORNING it's been a nice few days, and it's even starting to warm up slightly--oh, wait, never mind. Thick black clouds gather in the sky, and there's a rumbling thunder, with stray lightning bolts here and there. The rain alternates between freezing cold but sparse and just sheets of downpour.

Well if you're determined enough you can still go about your business! Though looking out your window you might catch Blossom running back and forth to SOMEWHERE and also....a tree suddenly in the middle of the pasture. Nothing notable about it for now though.

Anyway how yall doing.

What's the occasion, anyway? I assume this is a quest from Red.

Not from Red, actually. From Miss Daisy. It is for the sake of a spell. Leviathan-san does not wish to be dependent on a potion again should he be caught stuck on land or somewhere inconvenient when he requires one.

[Which is pretty understandable he thinks.]

As a result, part of the spell requires him to walk a day in a human's shoes. In essence, I am giving him some of my... human...ness? So that he can transform at will. There was an incantation we had to say aloud of course, and a couple of other details. Hopefully, this will help in the end.

Do you remember that thing that happened with the lights? Blossom had a box of them that spilled out everywhere, and they'd turn you into different things if you touched them. I asked her at the time if this was something we could do more often, and she said she couldn't, because it had something to do with paying a steep price to a demon.

I knew Leviathan was getting potions from Red, but those were potions he already had at home, and weren't something specific to this place. But if this place can hand out magic ...

...I dunno. I don't know why I didn't think of this before. But at the same time, it's probably because I do my best not to think about that sort of thing too hard.

I am not sure if it is passing out magic, or... if part of it only works because Leviathan himself is already magical. I did not speak with Daisy myself regarding it all. But perhaps it will work...?

The only reason I wonder otherwise is because I spoke with Red once about magic in general. Even just enchanted items. He told me that would be impossible for me because I do not naturally possess magic at all.

[He expels a very heavy sigh at the memory of it.]

Suffice to say I was very disappointed to hear that. I, also, assumed the only real method would be to contract with a demon if I wanted anything even remotely useful. It is a little difficult and disheartening being surrounded by almost an entire town of supernatural beings and ability holders while possessing none of that yourself.

That said, Red was able to give me a potion that has given me the ability to transform into a merman for a certain amount of time. But the price is incredibly expensive and very unpleasant. I would absolutely seak out Daisy first if you wish for a spell or potion.
